I remember reading that the band would not release any more archive shows because one member was against it. Therefore there would not be anymore archives released. Was just wondering - isn't this an archive, and it's now being released? Does this mean we could see more Duane archive shows released?

Nope, this is not an archive release by the band on their own label as the others were. This is a national release on Mercury.
I miss those archive release, especially knowing there are a few more in the can ready to go. Guess we will not ever get to officially hear them.

Right, the current release is along the same line as Ludlow Garage in 90, Atlanta Pop after that -- "commercial" as opposed to "archive" releases I guess, drawing from the same well/band/era etc...
I wonder if the thinking is, depite "archive" material being remastered/prepped for release, if the holdback is concern about response, along w/whatever legal stuff there might be -- w/the similar setlists etc --
however, there haven't been any releases since the success of the Skydog box & the recent books etc., so maybe there are other potential buyers out there -- glad I don't have to make those decisions...
