Tebow went 9-1 in the regular season and won 8 games in a row. How many QB's do you know that lose their starting job to a guy that has basically been out of the league for a year? The money is the point, if Peyton was really concerned about a Superbowl, the niners would have gotten the nod. This is a money grab pure and simple. Elway hated Tebow and this was his "out" to get rid of him. Like I said, Karma is a bitch.

Elway better hope they win a playoff game or the fans are going to eat him alive !!!

Tim Tebow went 9-1 in the regular season for a team that went 8-8 in the regular season? Wow, now that is impressive! He won 8 games in a row for a team whose longest winning steak was 6 games. Again, that is impressive. He was also at the helm for a season ending 3 losses in a row and they made the playoffs because Hue Jackson got full of himself and coached like an idiot.

Wow Jesus' favorite son in the land of "sodom and gommorah" seriously though, Tebow has a lot of heart, can kill you running the ball when flushed out of the pocket. he may be the spark that the jets need to get to the postseason. I bet the jets do better than the bronco's this year.

Exactly, Just shows you how little regard Elway had for Tebows QB skills and potential to improve. He traded him to the Jets for basically nothing, adding further insult.

I'd imagine they're also going to use the guy on 3rd and 4th downs inside the 5 yard line as well.

Its going to be an interesting dynamic now for the Jets, because all the negative garbage aside.

They're going to make money with this move for sure, and they're bringing in a player that not only should light a fire under Sanchez, but bring a work ethic and a sense of team that the Jets could desperately use right now, imo.

If Sanchez cr*ps out, this year or next, Tebow will have 2 more years under his belt, and have a shot at the full time gig. But make no mistake, they're going to use Tebow in a wildcat, short yardage, or goalline situations, while trying to coach him up on how to run an NFL offense.

I predict pictures of Tebow in a**less chaps and leather vest and dog collar in a drugged out haze in some dirty New York Basement/Dungeon will emerge around Halloween.

Maybe not. Apparently there is some wording in Tebow's contract that may void the deal. As a Jet fan, I certainly hope so.

To me, Tebow was one of those outstanding NCAA QB's whose game and abilities never translated into becoming a good NFL QB, and never will. John Fox deserves a lot of credit for creating an offense around Tebow's abilities to put enough points on the board while the defense did its job. Even Fox himself said that Tebow didn't have the skills to run a typical NFL offense. Then, right after he said that they went out and beat the Jets.

I agree with the money making part, disagree with the rest. IMO it makes the Jets look even more dysfunctional and like the circus they've become.

First they want Manning then are told they can't have him. OK, Mark, you're the man, here's a contract extension. Wait? Tebow's available? Let's get him! WTF? If the Tebow signing sticks I hope Sanchez tells the Jets to go scratch and demands a trade. Wonder what Captain Santonio's thoughts are on all this?

I figure Rex will run some kind of Wildcat for Tebow as a change up if Sanchez can't move the ball.

I can feel your pain!

Didn't Jet fans already serve the penance of a candy arm QB with Chad?

Sounds like the deal might not even go through due to a contract snafu. Seems the Jets in their haste didn't read Tebow's contract that calls for the trading team to also cough up an additional 5 million to the Broncos. LMAO!!!! Typical Jets!

Tebow is downright dangerous when flushed out of the pocket, I think hell be a fine QB with a bit more playing experience. yeah he drops the "J" word a bit too much, but so did a few others, [Reggie white] for one. I think denver will regret letting Tebow go, and signing Payton.

Damn I miss Reggie White.

quote:

White said he has thought about why God created different races. Each race has certain gifts, he said.

Blacks are gifted at worship and celebration, White said.

"If you go to a black church, you see people jumping up and down because they really get into it," he said.

Whites are good at organization, White said.

"You guys do a good job of building businesses and things of that nature, and you know how to tap into money," he said.

"Hispanics were gifted in family structure, and you can see a Hispanic person, and they can put 20, 30 people in one home."

THE JAPANESE AND other Asians are inventive, and "can turn a television into a watch," White said. Indians are gifted in spirituality, he said.

"When you put all of that together, guess what it makes: It forms a complete image of God," White said.

White said later that his comments were about coming together as a society and were not meant to stereotype the races.

Cool. Now we can safely put him in the same category with Trent Dilfer (1/1 SB starts)

that is totally different. pennington is 1st in QBs with a minimum of 1,500 pass attempts and he was almost the mvp of the 2008 season.

I am against any and all Federal Government intervention in private business, but here is where I''l make the exception. The Feds need to force the NY Jets to pack up and move to Los Angeles. This can be leveraged as fair and equal distribution of market sharing. Besides their is only room for one NFL team in New York and that is the Super Champion New York "Football" Giants.

GO GIANTS!!!

Kind of tried that once when Joe Willie went to play for the LA Rams. Didn't work out so good for anybody.
