Maybe they've always been there and I've never noticed, but there was a large wall of sub speakers on the stage that were obstructing the view of people in the first ten rows. I was on the 7th row and had to lean to the left to see Marc. The people to my right couldn't see Marc or Butch.

Maybe you couldn't see them, but they could see you. Onstage the bands can always see into the first seven rows. Hope that helps a little bit.

They have been putting the speakers there for a long time now. Slim the sound guy likes the fuller sound. If you look at the picture on the home page, they are there.

...and if you're fortunate to be sitting in the front-center seats, the regular PA speakers won't be heard very well. This gives those down front more even sound, I believe.
