Andy Reid's career winning percentage is only slightly better than Coughlin's and Tom spent 8 seasons coaching an expansion team. Giants have been to the playoffs in 3 of 4 seasons under Coughlin while Reid's team has been there twice in the last 4 years. Maybe Eagle fans should worry about their own coaching situation.

Let's not give Coughlin too much credit, his players have quit on him from time-to-time and no playoff team looked more unmotivated during the regular season. Coughlin also had immediate success with the expansion Jaguars (as did The Panthers) thanks to the league stacking the expansion drafts for them (both expansion teams made it to the conference championship in their 2nd year of existence). Reid has been to a Super Bowl and his squad has been hit hard by injuries. I'm not saying Reid is a football genius - he and cohort Morningweg have made as many bonehead calls as anyone in the league, but any Eagles or Cowboy fan has to be happy to see Coughlin coming back since all he does is stand on the white stripe and look indignant.

Don't get me wrong PCB, I'm not a huge fan of Coughlin either but how does a 10-6 regular season record show that a team has quit on their coach? How do you measure when a team quits? I don't think any coach deserves all the credit for a teams success since it's the players that play the game. Both coaches have had some recent controversy to deal with. Coughlin has had some team leaders question him publicly and Reid has had Terrell Owens and the present situation with his sons to deal with. I'd take Coughlin over Reid anyday.

The Giants have won 8 road games in a row. That looks like a motivated team to me. Sure i wish their home record was better, especially since I've been a season ticket holder since 1981. With the exception of the Vikings all thier loses have been to playoff teams (Cowboys 2x, Packers, Patriots, Redskins). If all this is a measure of an unmotivated team then I'll settle for that.

Totally agree with you about Coughlin's sideline demeanor and wished the Giants had gone after Bill Cowher last year; now that's a sideline face

They definitely gained momentum going into the playoffs, especially with the Pats game. Their offense started out the season so lethargic, sloppy and uninspired that it's hard to forget. 6 of their 10 wins came against the NFL's basement: Jets, Falcons, 49ers, Dolphins, Lions, and Bears. They only beat 1 playoff team, the Redskins (well, with the exception of the Bucs in the actual playoffs, but that's an NFC South team that quit 3 weeks ago) and Eli is still as up and down as ever (if they're not careful, he's going to be the next Rex Grossman). I guess, aside from the Pats, Cowboys, Packers and Colts, it's been pretty up-and-down year for most teams this season.

I know nice guys are the ones that get the support of their players, Coughlin seems to have turned his demeanor around, and I think they have a chance to beat the Cowboys (and then lose to the Packers) since they're division rivals and it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one season, but the Giants have just never looked as good as they could be. He's no Mike Tice, but with the talent they have, it's easy to imagine a more inspired squad under a different coach.

Let's just throw the Eagles in there and call it 8 out of 10

I think you meant thier defense started out lethargic, sloppy and uninspired... you must have forgot.

New defensive coordinator, new system, took a couple of games to jell but now they are the strength of the team.

I'm another Eagles fan and I can't sit here and criticize any team in the playoffs right now. Other teams made it to the playoffs and they deserve respect. My team sure does have its own long list of issues (including the head coach). I do have to root forTom to stay in NY for a long time because I think it gives my team a better chance to win in the future. Also, a reason for some of the Giants success this year may be because of their defensive coordinator (who last year was coaching with the Eagles.) I have to root for the Giants this week though because any day the Cowboys lose is a good day.

Uh, win or lose, I think the Giants will head to the airport either way.

Five Reasons the Giants SUCK DICK.

5. Oh my god, 8-1 on the road, they are sweet!!!! Look at the pieces of **** they "beat" on the road.

Washington- RIP Sean Taylor, love him but him dying is the only reason that team made the playoffs. They are weak, 9-7 with two OT wins, over MIAMI & JETS HAHAHAHA. They should have been 3-9 when Taylor was shot, and if he wasnt, 4-10??

Atlanta- Nuff said.

Miami- HAHAHAHA nice win!

Detroit- Im from here, nuff said.

Chicago- WORST team considered good in a while. Orton+Grossman= POOP.

Philadelphia- 4 of their 8 wins against Detroit, Jets, Minn, and Wash. With out Westbrook this team is equal to the Dolphins.

Buffalo- 7-9 record. Wins over Miami x2, Jets x2, Baltimore and Cincinnati. Nuff said.

Tampa Bay- Playoffs shmlayoffs, 9-7 record with 6 wins coming against Atlanta x2, Carolina, Arizona, St. Louis and oh yea, Washington. Even better, they managed to loose to Detroit, Houston, and SAN FRANCISCO.

So my point here is that their schedule along with their "road win streak" is garbage.

4. Ok, they were blown out by Green Bay, who is this years Chicago (not nearly as good as they seem). Smoked by Minnesota, who sucks. Oh yea, AND KILLED BY DALLAS TWICE!!!!

3. Besides their 7 reg season road wins, the 3 home wins came againts who??? PHILADELPHIA...NY JETS...SAN FRANCISCO, this is getting funny.

2. No back-up for Eli Manning. Hell, Eli Manning. No Jeremy Shockey.

1. Were talking about the Giants right??

The giants no longer suck dick, they did for the majority of the season for what ever reason. However, teams that suck dick don't almost beat the best team the national football league has ever seen, and teams that suck dick don't beat the number one defense on the road in the first round of the playoffs. My point is that they used to suck dick but have now taken the dick out of their mouths and are playing well. This will be further proven when they beat Dallas this Sunday.
thanks,

GO GIANTS !!!
the Dallas fans seem to be a little hot under the collar ... they must be nervous ...
back to the giants... it's funny how the team got better when tiki left...on paper they sholud have been worse...... his retirement announcement and constant questioning of the coach in the media (and in the lockerroom i'm sure) did nothing but distract this team.
its good to see the Giants on a roll even with some key injuries. the back ups have looked good. have we been up and down this season...yes i'm happy to say that it looks like the concept of team unity is back with the Giants as we roll into the playoffs .
Giants/ Cowboys in the playoffs ....life is good it's hard to belive this our 1st playoff meeting now ihave to decide between beer or jack and coke for the game...maybe i'll have both...

Giants are playing good right now, but it all comes down to the head!

Which Quarterback, Manning Or Romo head's in game, and can survive the pressure that's a coming.

Manning has actually played good for a while, surprising for a change, and Romo is a little too interested in that hot little Daisy Mae.

Best game by quarterback will win it.

Giants by a field goal.

Go Big Blue, i think they have a good shot, playing good ball over past several weeks. Nice wins over Washington and Philly. Philly IMO is a very underrated good football team and if they let McNabb leave are badly mistaken.

I am not a Romo fan but with his weapons healthy Dallas has a strong offense with Witten, TO and Marion Barber and now Terry Glenn. I think if TO is healthy Dallas will be tough to beat but i think this is a tough game to call and will be close.

Romo played well enough, but his offensive coordinator lost this game for the Cowboys. Why did they stop running the ball in the 3rd quarter? Don't abandon the run if it's working! It just allowed the Giants' D to get in Romo's face and get him flustered. Ridiculous. I think a lot of coach-less teams are retracting calls to Garrett right now.

But like I said:
