What else are you going to do marooned on a tropical island? They used Howell's money as rolling paper.

Didn't she get arrested a few years back for receiving weed in the mail?

Leave Mary Ann alone! Damnit!

I still can't believe that Marijuana is not legal at this point.

Aside from recreational use, this plant has more practical applications than almost any other that I can think of. Booze was re-legalized when congress accepted the fact that this was something that people WANTED. Slap a tax stamp on it and reap the benefits.

Why is pot illegal? It goes back to the Dupont family, who happened to be in the business of manufacturing and producing synthetic materials (rayon or orlon instead of hemp fibers = big profits for the Dupont's). When seeking to have cannabis illegalized, the Duponts (along with their "bought" politicians) made two arguments:

1. Marijuana led to violence, and
2. Marijuana turned our soldiers into pacifists.

Those are two extremely different and contrasting opinions. A$$holes! I find it ironic (at least) that John Dupont was convicted of killing his wrestling instructor a few years back. He probably could've benefited from a couple of hits, himself.

Think of all that could be gained by legalizing and taxing cannabis:

1. Freeing up a lot of jail space by keeping non-violent "offenders" out. Save the space for killers, rapists and politicians who fleece the tax payers on a daily basis!
2. Minimizing the number of illegal aliens. Legalizing pot in the U.S. and Mexico could create several industries including farming, packaging and transportation. Why wade across a river to pick lettuce and tomatoes when you can stay at home?
3. The tax revenue could be used for everything from schools to healthcare.

Bottom line is that use of cannabis should be a personal choice. All of the no-smoking bans that apply to tobacco would still apply. Driving under the influence would constitute a DUI. FREEDOM OF CHOICE!

Hey! Sorry about the rant.

FREE DAWN WELLS! FREE MARYANN! FREE MARYJANE! Reasonably priced, at least.
