I know some of you are going to Springfest and of course Wanee. So I will give you an update on the park. Because of the economy several things have been put on hold or the promoter backed out. There are no new stages in the bat house area. The park looks the same except 4 new cabins are being constructed. Looks like a new igloo like ticket booth is being built past the office. There are 80 plus new electric sites up behind the amp theater.

OK for you Mother Teresa they are digging a new pond and new water lines so the water pressure will be better. They simply did not have enough water to run the park now with 8,000 plus people. This will not be ready for Springfest.

All park workers are happy that Wanee was moved back. They would have had 4 festivals in 5 weeks which they say is real tough on them. Tough on me to!

Other than that the deer were everywhere!

thanks Warjag! I am glad the park is fixing the water issues. I am ready for Springfest and I'll see you then.

There is nothing "interesting" about it, Live Nation is a bitch to work with and the greedy money mongers wanted another big act added, but they couldn't pull it off.

Jesse, Pat, Teresa, or whoever else might be able to answer...how far (or close) are RV sites 37 and 17 to Helen's Hilton? I've gone ahead and reserved an RV site (#17) next to Drummy (#37) and I'm thinking we may go on ahead and do an electric campfire jam. It just won't be called The River Road Compound this year.

Sounds like you are just on the other side of the barn. Hard to say because their map is a little screwy but fairly close.

I know a few folks have mentioned showing up on Wednesday (or earlier even?)

You just show up and pay for a night of camping? Then somehow they will find you to get your Wanee ticket later?

Yup, pretty much. You pay for any additional nights at the regular rate and when the ticket booth opens up you go and get your armband.

They don't have to come and find you because if you don't get the armband once they open the booth you are gonna' get run out of the park anyway.

WarJag or someone else familiar with the SOSMP,

With the move to June & the increased heat, do you know if there are any plans to make drinking water readilly available (& not at $3 a bottle)?

As friends & I got our tickets, we have begun think about plans. Dealing with the heat will be something to consider this year.

The electrical sites all have water I think. The water stays cool all year and does not taste bad like city water. Take a milk jug or 2. They will let you bring in water inside the concert area.
