ABB better headline.

Never seen Panic, hope they're better than Ratdog.

Much better! Now that is my opinion but the shows with Jimmy have been off the map. Based on the fact that RatDog didn't seem to do it for you than I guarentee that WSP will. Plus the jamming between both will be amazing also. First band or second band playing doesn't matter to me. Although personally I would prefer to play before the ABB. If I were WSP I would want the same. Who needs to try and follow the ABB?

I will try and make that show also and perhaps Gilford again and see what else pops up.

So is it safe to assume that each band will be shortening their usual show length to maybe a 2 hour set? Or, even worse, 1.5 hours?

I think it will be two hours each just like it was with Ratdog. I hope the ABB close the show at Jones Beach.

These dates are fabulous! All of the places that are on the outer limit of my driving range are on weekends so I'll be there. And Mansfield on a Saturday? I've been trying for a year to plan a trip to see a friend in Boston. Guess which weekend I'll be going?

You're right and in this environment a strong pairing is need. As a die hard ABB fan, I'm selfish and want them all to myself but I am opened minded enough to appreciate other bands and music. However, I've never been to WSP show and I've lost my interest in the jam band scene since my days of following Phish around 10 years ago. Just as long as the "scene" isn't like that of Phish shows of yester-year, I'm totally psyched.

You don't have to worry about that, at least not in my experience. Say what you want about Panic fans, they are into the music, a lot moreso than even your average ABB crowd. That doesn't apply to the people on this website, but there are lots of people at ABB shows hoping to hear Midnight Rider and Jessica every night. Not so with the majority of WSP fans.

Is the Comcast Center in Mansfield Mass. where the parking lot jam that Eric talks about is held??? If so, that may be an overnight roadtrip possibility.

Yes Pete. That's where we hold the Parking Lot Jam. Would love for you to come this year! I'll talk you into it at Mountain Jam...

Last year I just happened to pull up right into the row of cars in front of the Peacheaters' setup. What luck! Hopefully I can time it the same way this year...good times...

A Canucky Mule in central NY????

That might be fun.

Since it's a Saturday I assume the Bomberrys will be present.

Could be an EPIC tailgate.

Expectations shall rise.

I would think that the ABB are headlining all shows. That's a tough act to follow!

As usual, nothing for South Florida...

I hope the Allmans close every show, but my guess is they will alternate closing just like they did with Phil Lesh and Skynerd. That may be the reason for the two nighters. I dont believe they have ever done a two nighter in Charlotte.

Everyone better buy their tickets quick, as the Panicheads will snap them all up for Charlotte and Raleigh. They already have a strong buzz going on about the southern dates. They sell out all of their shows down here.

Agreed. The whole "ABB should close the show" thing baffles me. W/ a co-bill, someone has to go first, and neither band is being slighted. If anything, you get to see the ABB sooner, and if you don't love the other act, you can skate a few minutes early and miss the mass exodus. It is as insignificant an issue as can be.

I don't think it's similar at all. The WSP scene actually reminds me of the ABB scene and the Mule scene in the sense that it is a variety of people of all ages who are very serious about music.

that last part of your statement was just dumb...just like fans at ABB calling for Midnight Rider or Ramblin Man...panic knewbs are just as bad...always calling for One Arm Steve, Climb to Saftey, and "that song about drinkin tallboys"....im a Panic kid but also a ABB head....so this co-bill fits perfectly for me

now the true panic kids get the f u c k down at a Panic show...def alot moreso that that of an avid ABB fan...and thats a FACT JACK

your are crazy if you think either one of those venues will sell out...Raleigh on a Sunday?? i dont think so

and Charlotte is a HUGE venue....it will come close to selling out, but it wont...there will be $20 lawn seats the amitheatre puts out about a week prior to the show, just to pack it in...they do this every year

I really haven't experienced that kind of stuff. Panic doesn't have any hits and they don't appeal to the classic rock type crowd. I think in general the crowd at a Panic show knows more what the band is about than the average crowd at an ABB show. I definitely agree about people gettin' down at WSP, that's the point I was making, that spreadheads are really into their band.

As someone stated earlier, if the Brothers open, we get to the bar early, if they close we party longer at the front end. I could care less about WP, P&F, RD or the Dead for that fact. I'm going to see the ABB!! I'm sure JH will play with the ABB and WH will play with WP, again whatever. After the Beacon run, time for some pure Brothers. My 2 cents.

no...but their young fans are replacing "the hits" you speak of...kids show up to a panic show b/c they know thats its pretty much a free for all...they come down, score **** ty drugs in the lot, and can and have ruined some good tims being had just by being dumb ass kids...it happens though, i suppose

I'll definitely be going to the Dallas show. Lawn tickets are just $26, which is very reasonable! I do hope the Allmans close the show since it's the 40th annivesary tour. I've heard some of Widespread's music, but not alot. Are they any good?
