Rolling Stones to tour in 2010?
Ron Wood hinted that the Rolling Stones are gearing up for their first road trek in three years, telling BBC 6 Music, "It's all very good. I saw Mick (Jagger) and Charlie (Watts) last week. Everything is great." When asked about the rumored tour, Wood added that he was confident that the Stones will be out on the road in 2010, adding, "Let's hope so, yeah!"

Unconfirmed rumors claim that the Stones are in negotiations to close the UK's Glastonbury Festival in late June.

The Stones' 2005-2007 A Bigger Bang world tour grossed the band over half-a-billion dollars. Keith Richards says that it's not so unthinkable that the Stones will keep performing until they die: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "That has always been my point. Ain't nobody that complained that Duke Ellington or Count Basie and said, 'Why are you still doing it?' They did it all their lives. What is it -- because I'm white and I play rock 'n' roll? You know what I mean? Otherwise, I'm just doing what all other guys who I follow -- you know Muddy (Waters), Howlin' Wolf. You do what you do until you drop. You know, you rock 'til you drop."

I hope to all that's good in this world that you saw the Stones in their prime!

Like the 60s, 70's or 80s

1978 for me. With Peter Tosh as the opener.

Yeah. It didn't get much better than that back then. And they were great.

I still give them big respect for their legacy but no way would I pay the current market value for a pair of tickets.

No way.

Eloquently said. And I couldn't agree more.

To Big of a production to see the Stones, today.... but their music is not lost on me.. Love them, Love them... they made some really great tunes... and I always loved Keith playing that guitar...

Here was the set list from 72' when I saw them.. and even then it was a huge production.. it sorta turned me off to seeing shows for awhile...

The standard set list for the tour was:

"Brown Sugar"
"Bitch"
"Rocks Off"
"Gimme Shelter"
"Happy"
"Tumbling Dice"
"Love in Vain"
"Sweet Virginia"
"Loving Cup"
"You Can't Always Get What You Want"
"All Down the Line"
"Midnight Rambler"
"Bye Bye Johnny"
"Rip This Joint"
"Jumpin' Jack Flash"
"Street Fighting Man"
Encore: often none, sometimes "Honky Tonk Women"

we got Honky Tonk Women...

Oh well ..those were good days...

They have already postponed plans last year because of low ticket sales in the industry. Smart enough to figure out that the market would not support $300 tickets at that time.

No tour in 3 years??? I thought Stones tours last 3 years at least and are ongoing??? Surely ther is some corner of the globe they haven't fleeced. Then again maybe not.
