Wanted to remember Berry today.... Say a pray and extend deep condolences on the loss of their Brother, Father, husband, son, Friend, Uncle and a person who seemed to care deeply about his music and his fans... and all the people who came to see and hear him and The Allman Brothers Band...
What a Bass player.... magical...... missed immensely....

Thanks to all who have posted and shared pictures of Berry and all Allman Brothers on the Internet.

The original four stringer who's notes were fantastic enough to be played on a Les Paul.

BO!!!!!!!! He could sure drive that Tractor and in turn that lil band from Macon! I know that Whipping Post intro is "The One" everyone thinks of when BO is mentioned, but I just love the Bass take-off in Les Brers!!! May you ride in peace Brother, thanks for the music and the inspiration!!!!!!!!!

When I listen to the Fillmore East there are times when Berry is driving the band so hard I think they're gonna explode. He was so dynamic. There is no other Bassist that I've heard that could push a soloist to the next level like BO.....

RIP Berry Oakley
