I think this would answer the question, will The Dead get back together in 2010?

No

Wow, this is great to hear! Can't wait for the Chicago shows. If you are in the area and have never been to the Auditorium Theatre, you are in for a treat. One of the most beautiful venues I've ever been to. Saw Panic there a few times. This should be an awesome tour.

Frank Lloyd Wright said it was the best place in America to listen to music. I'm very excited as well. Now I need to research which hotels are close by.

Whoo Hooo! Chicago here we come! I am hearing nothing but GREAT things out of this band. I hope Warren doesn't feel dissed by the new band. Probably not. No matter, should be a great time and can't wait for BOTH shows. This band really cooks and is the best sounding "dead" cover band out there.

I'm a huge GD fan but was totally underwelmed with Lesh and Bobby's sit in with the ABB at the beacon and the Dead show I caught in April was pretty lame for the prices they were charging. I'm thinking I'm done with these guys but I do like the DSO guy sso maybe once again, I'll give them a chance.

Anyone other former Dead Heads on the fence about these guys ?

I agree with you regarding the prices. I passed on the Buffalo show in April. Had just gotten laid off a month before, so I guess I was a little conservative with my expenditures. But also, the ticket prices were a bit high. I will probably go see this incarnation though. Realizing that my chances to see them again are getting slimmer with time...

The Fox Theater shows from September 2009 are on archive...

http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Furthur%22

I'm going to try and go to at least one show in Chicago, even though the shows are on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

I love hearing these songs and I love listening to Phil play. The only knock I've had on any of the post-Dead incarnations is that on some of the tunes the tempo had been slowed down to almost plodding level, but Furthur seems to pick it up a bit.

Former Deadhead? Like being a Marine, once a Deadhead, forever a Deadhead!

If Phil is involved, I'm there, especially in a small venue like the Tabernacle w/ I think about 2500 capacity.
