I don't expect many here will feel this way (I sure don't), but it looks like someone does, and paid for a billboard to express their feelings...

quote:
Lib Fury At Bush “Miss Me Yet?” Billboard

A Wyoming, Minnesota billboard of former US President George W. Bush asking “Miss Me Yet?” has caused an Internet sensation, putting liberals on the hunt for whomever put it up.

Snapshots of the board swept through e-mail inboxes Monday morning, with some suspecting it was a clever GOP Photoshop. However, Wyoming resident and NPR contributor Bob Collins confirms the billboard is very real and can be found on the I-35 near Wrenshall.

Now, progressives and liberals upset that anyone would find 8 years of George W. Bush preferable to one of Barack Hussein Obama are on a mission to find out who put it up.

“Wish I could take credit for it,” Wyoming Mayor Sheldon Anderson told reporters. “Calls every day asking if it was me. If you find out let me know.”

The fact that no billboard ownership plate exists on the display makes finding its sponsor even more difficult.

However, liberals and progressives may be facing a backlash in their attempt to out the person responsible for putting up the billboard. One suspect who turned out not to be the culprit has offered to continue paying for its upkeep should the original sponsor bow out.

Wyoming, MN is just outside of Minneapolis. Wrenshall is way up near Duluth. Which is it?

The thing is, they used such a goofy picture of Bush that you have to wonder if this was really intended to be anti-Obama or anti-Bush.

It's so nice to have someone who can see the alternate future and can tell us with authority what would have happened. I have this ability, as well 6string. You know, it's a good thing that McCain wasn't eledted because had he been, this wou;d have occured.
McCain would have died in the first few months because he could not deal with the economy.
That wou;d have given us President Palin, who would have quit before the oath of office was finished.
Which would have left us with President Pelosi.
Thank God we dodged that bullet

I don't disagree with ypur assessment 6string, which makes the election of Obama the very best thing that happened in the last election cycle.

The only way I will ever miss Pres Bush is if Palin is elected. Even then, I might not miss him since I'd be in Canada.

Nice try. Clever but not clever enough!

McCain/Romney would have been the winning ticket. Romney was perceived (perceived is good enough with dumb American voters) as having business savvy and he was perceived as Presidential in case something happened to McCain.

No way Christian Conservatives support a Mormon.

No i don't miss him ! And i damm sure wouldn't miss Barck Hussein Obama if he was gone as well.
If they put a fan behind his ears on a billboard, he could double as Dumbo for a Disney advertisment at the same time.

I'd say that big ear jokes are as classy as you could ever hope for from Luke.

Seems like ya'll have thrown about every imaginable insult at Palin. So what makes Barack's ears off limits ? Get off it man .We're all fair game.

I might be one of the biggest Palin bashers around here, but I've never commented on her looks.

Mr. Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review.

Sara Palin attended Hawaii Pacific College in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1982 for a semester, where she majored in Business Administration, and transferred in 1983 to North Idaho College for the 1983-1984 school year. After winning a scholarship, she transferred to Matanuska-Susitna College in Alaska for one term before transferring back to the University of Idaho the following year where she finished out her college education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism from the University of Idaho in 1987, where she also minored in political science.

In addition, Mr. Obama is President of the United States of America

In contrast, Sara Palin deemed her elected position as Governor of the great State of Alaska...too much to handle... so she quit.

You make the call.

He was the right man for the job at the time. Thank goodness he was President during 9/11 instead of a weak liberal. He protected us and we were not attacked again. Even liberal Obama is smart enough to follow in his footsteps and keep the popular war in Afghanistan going. At least he has done one thing right. He could not pass health care reform or get the economy going even with a majority in Congress. What a freakin loser. The only thing he has done right is follow the lead set by President Bush.

And what about the popular at the time Iraq war that has destroyed the country and left over a million dead? Is popularity the right way to decide a war's justification?

I definitely don't miss Cheney. I had a nightmare thought the other day.....what if Cheney convinces Palin to run for president with him as vice-president again! It was just too horrible a thought to even contemplate!

Sounds like a Hollywood promise to me. (Remember when Alec Baldwin promised he'd leave the country if Bush was re-elected? He ain't goin' nowhere, and I doubt you are either, Brock.)
