Doubt if he'd be into it nowadays, but an "in-his-prime" Peter Green would've been cool.

(Since I got my other wish @ last year's Beacon Run....Clapton)

Oooooh, yeah, Leon....DEFINITELY!!

Any of the guys from Little Feat---Paul Barrere', Fred Tackett, Billy Payne, Kenny Gradney, Sam Clayton, Richie Hayward (if he's healthy again)

Dickey Betts.

I never thought that would be as much of a long shot as it is.

Howard Duane Allman --- (if only)

Guests? We don't need no stinking guests. (They are fun at times but not necessary)

I'll just take the current band straight up. Last years 3-26 show was the ace in that series, for my money!

Yes, I like the idea of Leon Russell. I think that his vocals along with Gregg's on a tune could be quite soulful. Does anyone know if Leon's ever played with Gregg or ABB?

If I could chose one guest....one I thought would be a good fit...

Bonnie Raitt. In a sit down acoustic thing where she got to play some slide and sing.

Yeah, that would be it.

A clean, healthy, focused Mick Taylor playing with the ABB would make my day - my year, in fact.
I also second the Peter Green vote from above.

Since Clapton sat in last year, in my mind the new Holy Grail is Carlos Santana.

Can you imagine Carlos on Dreams or Elizabeth Reed? Or, dare I dream, Soul Sacrifice or Europa with the ABB? Much like Clapton, the more I think about it, the more I like it And much like Clapton, the connection with Derek makes it seem like a genuine possibility.

For me, that would be hard to beat.

I don't consider him a guest, but Brother Chuck Leavell is always a welcome addition on stage. Hopefully, we see that a couple times in April.

I think the piano players with the band at the end of the tour last year (first Danny Louis then Bruce Katz) worked perfectly. Hope we hear more piano, including Chuck, this year.

Sorry, I missed where you asked for no Dickey betts requests.

So my next choice would be Alvin Lee of Ten Years After. He can still tear it up.

I probably wouldn't have said this a year ago, but after watching the DVD "Zappa Plays Zappa," I'd like to see Dweezil sit in with the ABB. I think that would be kind of cool.

Charlie Daniels & Tommy Crain! Love the sound of the original CDB cause it was so much like the Brothers in many ways!

A lot of the folks mentioned have played with the Brothers in some capacity through the years. I like Smattermonnat's suggestion of Steve Morse although I believe he's probably jammed with the ABB in the past. I think it should be somebody who's actually a virtuoso on their instrament regardless of the instrament in either the rock or jazz fusion idiom. I'm a huge fan of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert and believe that either one of thes guys could help take ABB into some uncharted waters instead of hey lets run some fast blues licks over "Southbound" for the umpteenth time although I'm sure they could cover that as well as anybody. I mean when the ABB started they were actually pushing the boundaries of rock music by mixing in some different influences along with virtuoso playing and they've stayed pretty much within that framework that the original band created. Wouldn't it be nice if they pushed the boundaries just once before the last hurrah. Of course it is probably just wishful thinking because the last hurrah may have already occurred and of course with Derek's recent emmergence as his own talent may be as close as we get to new direction ... which is pretty good by the way. Certainly no complaints.
