My friend Sean Chambers latest cd is reviewed at HTN. Glad to see it get covered.I only wish they would have mentioned the original tune Winter time, and his cover of ZZ Top's Brown Sugar. Both are SMOKIN"! Here is Winter Time when he opened for Robin Trower last year.

Winter Time.

From The Next Issue of Hittin' the Note

Ten Til Midnight
Sean Chambers
Blue Heat Records(Self Release)
by Brian Robbins

Wham! When you drop the needle on
bluesman Sean Chambers' new Ten Til Mid-
night album, you'll want to brace off and
hang on. Chambers might hail from Florida,
but his tubes-too-hot-to touch tone
and voodoo blues riffing on the title cut will
make you think Austin, TX fo' sho'. But don't
jump to conclusions - though the strat
does happen to be his primary weapon of
choice, Chambers is no Stevie Ray Vaughan
wanna-be copping licks and wearing a big
hat. Sure, the man has his influences, but in
the end, what comes through the speakers
is Sean Chambers ... and that's a fine and
bluesy thing.

A graduate of the Around-The-World-
with Hubert Simlin school of blues
(a five year experience during which he
served as musical director for the legendary
Sumlin), Chamber's goal for Ten Til Midnight
was too nail his three-piece band's live
sound to the studio. Overdubs were held
to a minimum, and grove reigned supreme
over perfection.

"Blues and Rock 'N' Roll" offers up
everything from a Hendrix-style guitar break
to a honking harp solo, courtesy of guest
Gary Keith. "You're Gonna Miss Me" features
blistering, squealing slide reminiscent
of some of David Lindley's more over the top
moments with E-Rayo X. Be sure to check
the classic dobro/harp duel between
Chambers and Keith on "I Don't Know Why."
And throughout Ten Til Midnight, Chambers
offers up plenty of fat Strat, and dues paid
vocals. This cat's the real thing.

Hey Ruthie. I catch Sean whenever he plays St Pete. I help him lug equipment so I can get in free. He's been playing Ringside for years and usually puts on some of his best performances there because he's so familiar with the venue and the crowd.

Sean Chambers is an awesome musician!! I'll definitely be catching his show in Ridgewood, N.J. on July 13th. I wonder if he'd allow me to shoot a video of the show??

Lefty is going to try to get him at the House Of Blues in Chicago I hope. If you know of any good blues clubs out in the midwest who might like to book him please let them know about his band.

Well Ruthie these are the ones I would suggest. The palladium is a very nice venue, normally has jazz, but is trying to mix it up some. Ringside is a very funky "blues bar" and is usually really packed and hard to find a good seat, but as I said before he does some of his best playing there because he's been there for many years.
