this may help with some of your question

http://theguitarresource.com/exercises/learning-arpeggios-what-are-arpeggio s-and-how-should-i-use-them/

Chances are 9 out of 10 (if not 10 out of 10) of your favorite guitar tunes have arpeggios in them. So what is an arpeggio? Simple. An arpeggio is chord notes played in succession instead of simultaneously. So if someone says to arpeggiate an Am chord what they mean is play it one note at a time, instead of strumming all the notes at once.

Tab is simple...

the lines represent the strings of the guitar and the numbers are the frets that need to played..

example... A mpjor chord at the 2nd fret

"chicken picken' is a "technique", not so much a 'tab'. It was used a lot by
players like Toy Caldwell, Roy Buchanan. Some players have the 'feel', some don't.
Rely on your 'soul' and it will never let you down.

the differnce ( based on the video link you posted) is that it is not chickin pickin.

It is simply an arpeggiated move, accomplished by playing each of the notes of the chord individually..

Happy playin !
