I'm not one to give beat by beat details for a show but all I can say is I loved it. The whole weekend was extremely special as it was my first trip to Mecca oops I mean Macon. However time sure did fly by and I didn't really get time to hang out with the folks here and soak it all in.

This family is what really makes these shows special and I was blessed once again to see some old friends and meet some new ones.

Great to meet TerriB, Bluefox, Jacquie, Big6 & Lynn at the H, Allan Woods, Ryan Belair, PatCrenshaw, LeeAnn, Wayne, JamGram, TanDan, Byrd Wyatt, Luke and for anyone missed.

My, my Dan. I just used Mecca when referring to Macon. I guess I'm not the only one who felt that way on my first trip. The only other place I can relate it to is Liverpool and I hear some people call that ancient city a cesspool too.

Sounds like you met all the right folks. They're all angels.

Pat Crenshaw was wearing shorts, right? Jamgram (also Pat) was wearing a big smile. TanDan was not (but that doesn't mean he wasn't smiling inside). Love them all.

Rich,

Keep in mind that I was fairly intoxicated by the end of the evening...so everything seemed enjoyable.

Great time man. Heck I figured we were going to wear you out.

Hope to see you again soon bro.

Ryan

We surely enjoyed hanging with everybody. Every where you looked it seemed like we ran in to someone we knew. I also enjoyed sharing the slowest beer line in the world with Luke and Dan. The Brothers took the stage and I looked around and all I saw was the back of Dan's head going back in to the auditorium. I wondered if you ever got a beer that night????

Bill it was good seeing you, Darlene and your daughter. It was a great time. So much in such a small amount of time with some great friends. It truly was a proud day to be a fan of the Allman Brothers!!!

DanB had a good case of the Grins by the time we ran in to everyone outside the show! he said it was the RUM? I believe? Yes John, It's always great to see you and Susie when there's a show, cause we always hear good music those nights! Sorry we didn't get to hang before and after the show with everyone. I regret not going on to grants now, but knew tics were a lost cause so last minute. Didn't know they were making plans for an overflow! Tried several people's rooms when we got back to the Ramada Friday afternoon but veryone was already gahtered upstairs. Will have to swap cell phone numbers next time before the the day of show! Nonetheless, we had a great time and can't wait to do it again! When we got back home Sat night, Darlene and I watched Please Call Home again and really enjoyed it while the layout of macon was fresh in our minds! hope thye get the show up on Moogis sooner rather than later!

Rich, we're gonna have to make it a point to introduce ourselves next time! Wayne and I spent an hour or so sat finding out that we've been to numerous shows around the Carolinas together over the years and didn't know it until this WE. We had traded some shows with each other a few years back and said one day we'll meet up at an ABb concert. And his wife and my wife worked together in the same bank in Greenwood for several years as well! Small world indeed! The fellowship of the shroom! It's amazing who you might meet following the music from town to town!

Willie, did you go to the Mule show in Charlotte last summer? If you did, I think I might have met you while I was waiting in line for a ticket....got shut out when it was my turn so I didn't get in.

Anyway, I had planned to meet you at Dickey's show in Greenville a few months ago, but car problems prevented me from going. I really regretted that one. Haven't seen Dickey since '06 in Charlotte.

I feel like I know you from reading your excellent posts. We will meet down the road...count on it!

Absolutely Wayne. As I told Cheryl on Monday night it was one of the highlights of the weekend for me to finally get a chance to meet you and have some time to have a nice conversation. So how did your son's high school soccer team do on Friday night?

I've had the pleasure of meeting a decent amount of folks over the years from this site, but it was so much fun in Macon to meet some additional people, but more so to have the time to get the chance to really have some good conversations w/ folks. I got to meet and see Hot'lanta Tim (first time), Goliath, Brock (first time), Buppalo, Rusty, Wayne, RottinPeach (first time), Susiesoulshine (first time), Brofan, LeeAnn, BigDave, BlueDad, DanB (first time), Patrick Crenshaw, TanDan, JP (JahPaul), Karen (BigSix), TerriB, MissTerry, TReilly (first time, I hope I have the username right, thank you for the drink, enjoyed the conversation!) and of course my good friend Libby and her friend Ron. I hope I am not forgetting anyone, things get a little fuzzy as the festivities wore on. Anyways it was quite the time, I had a ball.

Same here Ryan, and Cheryl sure is pretty! You did good!!

Nope, they lost 1-0, and again last night 1-0. They play again tonight, hoping the score will be reversed tonight!
