My absolute favorite is one of Woody's : " Grab your earplugs . Warren and Matt are on the way out , an' we're gonna play for ya . "

"Shut UP!! This ain't no jukebox. This is my band and I'm calling the shots!"

Duane Allman, December 5,1970, Music Factory, Greenville, NC. in response to the fans shouting out songs they wanted to hear. Many thought they were a top ten cover band and I think Duane cleared that up real quickly.

It still rates as the finest concert I've ever heard or seen.

Any number of times but especially on "An Evening With The Allman Brothers - First Set"

Of all the songs to screw up...a Stateboro Blues encore...you could tell Gregg was flustered. Warren just patted him on the back and said, "It's OK."

There was one instance in Camden, NJ in '08 where Gregg counted off and the band went
into "Done Somebody Wrong" but Derek went into "Statesboro Blues"

Still cracks me up everytime I listen to it

Butch - in every interview he's ever done about the history of the band.....EVERY interview.

On the Tampa 70 tapes before they start Elizabeth Reed, Duane is saying how Gregg couldn't make it because he's ill, and someone in the audience must question it and Duane says " He's ill....not like that you junkie bastard". Classic.

Duanes comments before Soul Serenade talking about King Curtis' funeral.

Also the famous

"Play all Night" on LAFE. My friends and I would sit there listening and partying and when that part came we all would yell it out with big ol grins on our face.

On the Warehouse tape from 3-70, also before Elizabeth Reed he really talks, a few classic comments "There's a pervert down here if any of you young ladies like to pick up on one" then after that paraphrase, playing a Dickey Betts compostion called I got peanut butter in my pubic hairs"....crunchy peanut butter. It's a riot. Followed by some awesome music.

"We're gonna play everything we know tonight." Gregg Allman - William and Mary Hall Williamsburg , Va. I believe it was Dec. of '75. A fantastic show from the Chuck and Lamar era.

Gregg, before No One Left To Run With (I think): "Feel free to sing along if you know the words. If not, just hum."

Always thought that was pretty funny...

Gregg looks very strung out there. Duane looks awfully happy to be under arrest.

Butch looks scared, Berry could care less, Dickey has that evil Charles Manson grin.

I chuckle everytime I hear the quote from Ludlow prior to Mountain Jam, We're goin to sip some of this electric wine and we'll be back. Make a friend while we're gone. I think it was Duane but it could have been B.O.
