I've been getting off on some 73 ABB here lately. Chuck and Lamar were perfect choices after the two tragic accidents.

My favorite concerts from this great lineup?

Gotta go with, in no particular order...

5-1-73, Uniondale NY. (Archive 4)
9-26-73, Winterland, San Francisco
12-31-73, The Cow Palace, San Francisco

Hittin the note BIG TIME those nights.

Your favorites?...

Watkins Glen

a tie between 5/1/73 and 12/31/73 -- both brilliant sets

I woulda called it the "Chuck/Lamar era shows" thread -- what you said, of all the musicians to take part in the post 1972 reinvention of the band, they were great

Don't forget WTWCTODG. Great collection of live performances from that era of the band.

I really like Wipe The Windows release. As someone posted earlier on another tread, an underrated recording. Gregg's vocals are outstanding as well. I would love for Chuck to return full time!

Also 6/9-10/73 RFK Stadium, nice soundboards.

I'm all for Watkins Glen 7/28/73. Too bad my audience recordings sound so bad. Eternally hoping that the entire show will be released as a soundboard.

(Actually if someone can ask Gregg or Butch or Jaimoe one day if there are any plans of releasing Watkins Glen show I'd certainly appreciate it!! )

Dont hold your breath.

It appears that the bands desire is that we get 5 and no more.

Course I'm thankful for the few we have, but still...

They have hundreds of them sitting in a room, from what I hear...

That 12/31/73 show is a real favorite of mine. A local hispanic fella sat in on guitar...

Yep...he sure did.

Turned into a 4 disc mega-boot.

Watkins Glen, definitely. Every time I hear Jessica, I can place myself smack dab in that crowd, soaring to Jessica. Literally, it was like hang gliding (not like the guy that blew himself up parachuting in, however).

Uniondale (Nassau Coliseum) was outstanding.
