Christmastime means I have ANOTHER birthday coming up. They come around much too quickly.
Right now, though, I'm enjoying the changing of the season, the fall colors, light suede jackets and long pants (for everyone except Mr. Crenshaw).

The big whoop-t-do for my family this year is a Thanksgiving week trip to Belize to do mission work. Otherwise, I'm not crazy about the change of seasons, although, I must say, this has been one miserably hot summer in GA. We had around 120 days of 90 degree plus temps, so I have been ready for a cool down. Hopefully the winter won't be too cold. It slows work down when it gets too far below 40 degrees.

Not this year.

For the first time since 1998, I won't be spending Christmas with my wife & the in-laws (who, for in-laws, are actually pretty cool).

But, conversely, for the first time in quite a few years, I'll be spending Christmas Day with my parents which will be really nice.

hunting season! Good times in the woods without bugs! I send a lot of time in the outdoors anyway, but the fall is the best.

Yep. We've had some nice fall days here in So Cal. It was nice to wear a sweatshirt! Of course, it's going to be 90 again on Sunday. So much for the sweatshirt.

Another great thing about fall is college football especially when your team is playing well and winning games!

GO BRUINS!

I am looking forward to fall. I love the cooler weather and the turning of the leaves. Its a beautiful, pleasant time of year.

I am not too keen on winter though because even here in NC it just gets too damn cold. Then it snows, and our region gets paralyzed and tormented by folks who don't know how to drive in the mess. Snow is pretty the first day it snows and then its a pain in the arse....shoveling, melting, ice, and black from road grime...Ugh.

The only thing I dislike about changing from summer is that I have to switch to long pants and shoes and leave my comfy shorts and sandals in the closet. Not bothered by saying goodbye to 90-plus degree days.

As for the holidays--Thanksgiving at home with the family and my wife's family, my brother and his family may visit here for Christmas and then its a quick trip to Jersey to see Dad. Very busy but Good eatin all around.
