Clarence: Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

"I wouldn't have a roof over my head if it wasn't for you..."

I love that movie and I'm not ashamed that the ending still brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it ...

To George Bailey...the richest man in town...

Merry Christmas every one ....!

Love it to. Can't help but tear up at the end of the movie when the whole town comes to George's aid no matter how times I have seen it. Amen to that quote Musicmann. Based on that quote I am a success and I feel very lucky for it.

To me there are only 2 Christmas movies that are essential.

1) Its a Wonderful Life

2) The "George C. Scott" version of A Christmas Carol.

There are some others that show up this time of year, and they very touching and good, but those 2 I just mentioned cant be beat in my book.

"Hey look, mister - we serve hard drinks in here for men who want to get drunk fast, and we don't need any characters around to give the joint "atmosphere". Is that clear, or do I have to slip you my left for a convincer?"

"Get me. I'm givin' out wings."

I love the "evil" Nick in the world without George!

I agree 100% The George C. Scott version of Ebenezer Scrooge has become the definitive version for me. He was just perfect....

I am more partial to the 1951 version starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge
