Hey guys. Dani and I have decided to start a YouTube channel and I was hopeing my extended family here would help us get it going. The first "duo" video we decided to do is covering one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, Please Be With Me by Cowboy. YouTube and viral videos are a great way to "get out there" but it only works if it goes viral. Again I was hoping that everyone would help out. Much love to all and we will be doing several of theses vids a week so Subscribe if you'd like! Much love to all!

Thank y'all so much. I guess we are just so tired of all the Auto Tuned garbage thats big right now. We want to bring the "Delaney and Bonnie" type of vibe back to the forefront of pop music.

I got to share this story.

I was in FL recently visiting relatives. My paw-in-law lives in Sarasota, and being acquainted with Pedro Arevalo, Bery D. Oakley and Thorson Moore, I always get in touch with them to see where they're gigging and stop by to say hello. BO was out of town, but I got the gig locations from PA and TM. They were both playing on Siesta Key on a Thursday. Wednesday night, my family and I are going to dinner and driving down to Hwy 41. I see Tony's name on a marque of a club, so I hatched a plan to surprise him after I drop by to listen to PA and TM. I didn't get to the club Tony was playing until nearly 1AM, but I walked in the door, and when he saw me, he just stared, like he wasn't sure it was me. It was pretty funny. We both grinned real big at each other, and a couple minutes later, he put his drummer (James Varnado of Great Southern) on a solo so he could come off stage and greet me. Tony and I go back to Wanee 2006 (thanks to PastDreams) and have been friends ever since. Tony is an old soul in a young man's body. He's got great talent. He can play drums, guitar, keyboards. I've never seen him play bass, but I'm sure he can. His girlfriend and musical partner, Dani, can play the crap out of a fiddle, and plays rhythm guitar, too. I look for great things to come from Tony some day. He's paying his dues and polishing his chops. One day, young brother. One day....

Nice work Tony, and thanks for posting.

I've told my personal story about the song before, but I might can add some perspective.
Not too long after Johnny Sandlin partnered with a local businessman to form Rockin Camel Records here, a 60th birthday party was held here for Johnny. Me and my date and one other were the only locals there. People came from around the world, including Kunio, from Nagoya, Japan. Many from Macon.

Galadrielle Allman flew in from L.A. And Scott and Tommy came. Now, I don't know the background of Scott and Tommy, don't know what they had been doing since Cowboy broke up, but.....

Take a look at BDOB's signature. That picture was taken onstage at 2nd Street. And that's where Scott stood, playing Please Be With Me. To his left was Tommy, playing the beautiful slide fills. A few feet in front of Scott was Galadrielle Allman, and Scott and Tommy played her the final song her dad ever recorded. I was to Galadrielle's right, in front of Tommy, and noticed the eye contact going on. And took in what I was seeing.
And tried to grasp how in the world this was going on in my obscure town. It's a moment I'll always remember whenever I hear the song.

Also said before, but worth repeating......that Duane Allman was some guy!

Funny, I was with Tony when he bought that hat. Just before that, he was fooling around with a sitar at another vendor stand. He could actually make some decent sounds come out of it. "Come on, Tony, you can't afford that". Maybe some day.
Thanks for the mention, Dave. I was there to "introduce" him to the Peach crowd and as chaperone. Second morning I woke up and he had some cute little girl in his bed and they both looked at me with an "Aaaack, she caught us" look.
I made them coffee. I figured if he was going to be a rock and roll star, he might as well start acting like one.

I'm actually working in a Delany and Bonniesque project right now that sounds absolutely wonderful (married couple too and MAN can she sing) and I get to play the EC/Duane role......so yeah, I couldn't agree more with you there. Roots music needs a resurgence....BAD.

Thank y'all SO much for the kind words. Dani and I just read them and she is very flattered. I think we will do Poor Elijah and we have some of our tunes too. Dave I gotta tell you bro, that was one of the biggest suprises of the year! I really warmed my heart to see a good brother. We are really trying to do this thing man, we believe in it. We feel like a change needs to come (hmm....good song!) to the music industry. We are just two kids that play and sing, but we gotta try. This girl rocks so hard. As soon as Dickey gives us our drummer back (:p) we are hitting the studio to cut an album of new material.
