Just got this in a email from Moogis

This year, for the first time, Moogis will give you the opportunity to buy single night subscriptions, The One Night Stand, for $25. The only exception will be March 12 when ABB celebrates the 40th Anniversary of their landmark album, "At Fillmore East". The cost of that One Night Stand will be $60.

One Night Stand subscriptions also include access to the VOD archive until 5:00 PM E.S.T the next day.

if anyone has any special guests lists like the one that was leaked during the 40th run, i would love to see it. cant afford moogis this year or even the $60 show, but would love to catch a one nighter and be able to make the best of it

I am sure people will be on here under the forum section "Beacon Talk" updating the show with songs and guests as they happen. Each night of the run someone will post the date as the subject and all will post away...

I would bet that there will be an "Ace" in the house on 3/12.

Have to give the brothers credit; they could have done this mid-week and sold some premium tickets at a primo price rather than on a quickly sold out Sat night.

And, if this is more than double the price I suspect there is something more than just playing LAFE in store. ?eat a peach too? Heavens to be the first to start it but a guest appearance by the "Cat In The Hat"? For that price there must be something more in store than Butch profits or a bunch of people are going to be pissed

Nothing like a little price goughing. I will pass on that $60. $25 is fair.

Really? How can you celebrate the anniversary of 3/12 on a different night than 3/12?

Really I do get almost a laugh out of the concept of charging more than twice as much for one night as any other night. So are the ticket holders that are there on the 12 other nights getting a refund seeing their show is now been officially valued as only half as good as this one " special" night? What an outrageously insulting concept. Way to go guys, the new paradigm in music distribution shares traits with many of the old forms.

You could choose to view it that way. Or, ticket holders on the other nights could expect their money's worth for those shows and those on the 12th could see it as lagniappe. That's how I'm looking at it!

I'm sorry-sixty bucks for this is so freaking outrageous. Only the reincarnation of Duane Allman would justify this price gouging.

Without knowing why the price is so high (other than rumors) on the 12th,
I'm just glad I'll be in the Beacon that evening.
It's going to have to be special for that price tag - maybe EC again?

la·gniappe

1. Chiefly Southern Louisiana and Southeast Texas . a small gift given with a purchase to a customer, by way of compliment or for good measure; bonus.
2. a gratuity or tip.
3. an unexpected or indirect benefit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----
Origin:
1840–50, Americanism ; < Louisiana French < American Spanish la ñapa the addition, equivalent to la feminine definite article + ñapa, variant of yapa < Quechua: that which is added

Have to agree with bob1954.
Every evening with the Allman Brothers band at the Beacon is well worth it
(sans the one segment in 09 when Kid Rock guested in - what an abomination that was)

I'm sure the sixty bucks aren't because Thom Doucette is guesting.

Another album that Duane played in also recently turned 40, so one wonders if the first set could feature the entire AFE, and on the second set, that other guitarist form the other album shows up and they play all the songs Skydog played in.
