Hope you had a blast Tony T!

Well, Tony does have James Varnado, one of the drummers in Great Southern, in his band. I would have loved to hear them jam together.

Never heard if they jammed together, but for Tony's sake, I sure hope so!

I tell y'all what, it was one of the biggest Honors of my life. We were just doing our second set (started with "take the highway MTB) and before the song ended I looked up and he was just standing there listening. He came in and sat down. We kicked into "don't keep me wondering" and at the end of it, just to see him smiling and clapping was a thrill. He got up and did "Johnny B Good" "Greezy Hambone Blues" and "One Way Out" and we took a break. I got vid I'll put on YouTube. He was nice as he could be. He did keep insisting that Dani play the fiddle :p truly an honor to have jammed with him.

That is great to hear Tony!
I know jammin' with the cat in the hat has been a long time dream for you. I'm really glad it happened . And luckily for brother Dickey, he got to jam with someone who can truly bring it.
I would love to see the 2 of you do Liz Reed!

Thank yall so much for all the kind words! James is the MASTER of funk and we are writing a new album. We just added Matt Frost, son of Grannd Funk and Bob Seger keyboardist Craig Frost, to play keys and he is also a tremndous writer and singer.

God bless you Steve. I hope to have the vid up later today i can post a link here if you would like. I'm currently in Sarasota FL so it will be difficult to get to Macon, but I dang sure will try. Red Dog was a hullava man and I really would like to come pay my respects. I have fond memories of hanging with him at the Skydog concerts and Grants.

You best get your blond butt to Macon. It's been toooo long. I'll bring that bracelet I've been talking about and hope it fits your wrist....in a couple more years, it probably won't. Love you always.

He's doing ok Fender. The man was enjoying a night off! He told me a few Duane stories and said that we did a great job on "Don't Keep Me Wondering" and he was just as nice as he could be. Now, if I could just figure out a way to play half of a verse of a song with Gregg, Warren, or Derek....dream accomplished! :p

Come up with another dream...they're never too far fetched. Say, if James goes back on tour with Dickey and he decides he needs a killer slide guitarist from Gray.....
