Hope this isn't a repeat but I just caught "Human Factor" w/Dr. Sanjay Gupta on CNN HLN.

Featured Gregg shooting a PSA for Merck dealing with his Hep C saga and liver transplant. I guess I didn't realize GA had cancer before the transplant.

Nice footage of the Big House.

Still, it's befuddling, the segment was entitled "Gregg Allman - Still A Ramblin' Man."

Yes, he mentioned the cancer at the time of the transplant -- almost in passing. Not unlike the almost casual mention that he still has Hep C. The man is tough.
As for the "Ramblin' Man" title -- this isn't the first time. A lot of folks have no clue about who wrote what in the ABB and why that particular designation for anyone other than Dickey Betts is -- well -- inappropriate -- at the very least.

I don't think anybody knew he had cancer but it's not uncommon for hepatic livers to turn cancerous. My late friend Doug's transplanted liver turned cancerous three years after his transplant and then it metastesized (spread)to his bladder and then his bones. No one was about to give him another transplant.

Gregg is not out of the woods by any means.

I was sitting n the Atlanta airport when I saw this on CNN. It was totally new news to me. With my limited knowledge of hep C I was totally under the impression that the new liver was the fix for his hep C, had no idea the new liver was because of cancer. By no means is he out of the woods yet indeed.
