I saw Rusted Root open up for the ABB in 1995. I was impressed
enough to go out and buy their current release (at that time), "When
I Woke." Good band.

I skipped school a couple of times to see them at Pitt when in high school....always put on a good show. They were also great opening up for the Grateful Dead at 3 Rivers in 1995 and at the Gathering of the Vibes in 2003.

Saw the multiple times in the late 90s and early 2000s and they are always good. Only really liked their first album which was great. Kind of lost touch over the years but I would see them if the price is right.

Caught them a few times actually. I'd like to think I was a Root 'pioneer' and introduced a lot of people to them. Cruel Sun, Ecstasy, etc. Good stuff. Used to drive up to Albany to catch them as SUNY.

I first saw them open for the ABB in the 90's, they rose in popularity and even headlined at the Beacon. They have a couple of new members, and still put on a great show.

I only saw them once when they opened for Santana at Radio City in the late 90s and they were good that night. I, too, really like the first record. I recently learned they were from the western NY area that, when they were building a following, they were even more earthy and percussion focused than their first release would demonstrate.

They opened up for the Allman Brothers at Jones Beach the day Jerry Garcia died and dedicated the song 'Back To The Earth' to Jerry. That whole day and show were surreal.
