Revelator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was expecting Derek to mention his bandmates, but classy tribute to Hubert, Etta, Honeyboy and Pinetop!
Also Levon won best americana album!

Congratulations to Derek and Susan for winning,

and also to Gregory and Warren for the nominations.

I'm very dissapointed. I don't care much at all for Revelator. I think Gregg's record is much better, and also a true blues record, which Revelator is not. I was thinking that Gregg would win.

I really thought Gregory would win, too.

I can't comment on Revelator, because I haven't listened to it yet.

Gregory is always the winner, for me. Next time...

Bigger question is after last night's Guys & Dolls suit what was Derek wearing?

Derek did mention his bandmates. He introduced them all, and they were standing behind him.

Congrats to the Tedeschi Trucks Band!!!! I was thinking they were the underdogs and that either Gregg or Warren would win but IMO each one was Grammy worthy. Personally I would have given the nod to Gregg but like I said they are all great albums worthy of the award!

Now watch all of the TTB detractors start bitchin' and complaining.

I meant the ones he was competing with.

Also, Susan didn't nailed the look.

I was hoping Warren would win but was resigned to Gregg winning as a lifetime thing.

I bought Revelator, never really cared to listen to it more than three times through.

Thanks, I already have it, just haven't had the time to listen to it.
I have Warren's, too, but haven't had the time to listen to that either.

I just can't seem to get "Low Country Blues out of the CD player.

Listen to it again--it may grow on you eventually.

Hey, it's the Grammys...the same organization that waited over 20 years to honor Jessica as Best Instrumental. Go figure.

After a few listens, I really like Revelator.
I was rooting for Gregg, though

Congrats to the TTB. That would have been my choice, though I have not heard Keb Mo's record.

I'm shocked Gregg did not win, but only because the cynic in me expects such awards to often be based on sentimentality. Perhaps the fact that all but one song were covers hurt him, and even the one was "co-written."

What's with all the comments on Derek's suits? Is there some rule that musicians need to appear slovenly?

I think TTB is a great great band with nothing but upside for the future. Have seen them live, and they are the real deal - something unique. However, from a categorical and purist standpoint, I think LCB is more of a true Blues Album. Congrats to TTB, but I had hoped Gregg would have won this.

Thanks Susea for the pic. Methinks Mr. Trucks dressed himself last night and the Mrs. dressed him tonight. Cleans up well
