Check this mini acoustic set by Van Halen out. This came on DVD with the new CD if you wanted to pay an extra $3.00. I actually like the acoustic version of the new song 'You And Your Blues' better than the electric version on the record. Very cool stuff!!!

I gotta say, I love this version of "You and Your Blues." Anyone notice Dave hitting the vaporizer about half way in on "Beautiful Girls?" Probably some of that excellent California medicinal grade hydro. Which probably explains why he can't sit still (even more so than usual that is).

Man, as much as I hate to admit it, I am warming back up to Van Halen. Band politics aside, they sound great. Wolfie is a killer bass player, Eddie has all of his chops back, Alex is his usual bad ass self and DLR is DLR. I miss his screeching, though. I guess the old throat ain't what it used to be, but they sound great, nonetheless.

Those classic VH harmonies really stick out on these clips. The kid is a pretty good singer too...

I think Wolfgang and Ed nail the harmonies just as good as Michael Anthony and Wolfgang plays much more intricate bass parts IMO than MA ever did live and on the new record. And of course him and Ed seem to be having a blast playing together.
