What's everyone's surprise so far this year?

For me, I would have to say it's the Dallas Stars. Was no where expecting them to be off to a hot start as they have been.

Mtl. waxed NYR 5-1 in key (for early season) O-6 game between the 2 top teams
to prove we belong in the conversation, to prove last year was a fluke & we belong where they are, we have to do the same thing this aftrn -- they're lacing them up as we speak, & all B's fans are saying is ya -- let's go Broonz -- smoke the Rangiz -- it's a game that looms Large in the long-range scheme of things -- Habs smoked 'em, for them to come in to our place today & beat us won't sit well -- BROONZ

Xclnt win for B's -- but at the end of the day things still unchanged
ChiHawks
3 goals in last 3 min, incl. OT game winner in Anaheim -- we won in similar fashion , but no way are we their caliber -- yet
it shows again why they've won 3 times in last 5 years & why they're the top franchise -- even incl. Mont & NY IMO

now a few days off & let's go B's -- good report on David Pastrnak

The Rangers need to tighten up in their own end. For too long this season, they've been relying on Hank and Raanta to keep them in games, but now even that isn't working

It's only November, but they need to fix it

btw, where the hell has Kreider been all season?

Surprised that Montreal has been successful without Price. Either Condon is as good as Price or Montreal are a better team excluding Price than they are given credit for.

Go Hawks Go

It is all part of their continuing First Pick Plan. Now if they draft a F'N forward instead of a defenceman then they should be tossed out of the league.

2 pts. outta 4 against the two crummiest teams in the league, coughing it up w/2 seconds left last night after falling behind 1-0 all of :33 into it....
so far another inconsistency-plagued year for B's -- without Kelly or Pastrnak there's not much depth offensively -- they loomed large this year
but still early -- let's go Broonz

Habs suddenly lost 4 straight, key one w/Ott tonight --

Just came from the locker room :yaright:, the boys know how important this one is -- Ott & Wings are gaining space on us, we have to do same w/Fla. -- only the Habs losing has kept us anywhere near & Ott is likely to make it 5 tonite --
it's crucial this matinee to get 3 pts ahead of Fla. & not let Ott & Wings get too far ahead
c'mon boys, we're due for a no nonsense 4-1, 5-2 win or so

yep they're peaking now & no reason to think otherwise come May>finals etc...
ChiHawks sent 20G Habs fans home unhappy last night
...we have to do same thing tmrw nite -- that 9-1 game in Foxboro was a debacle/exhibition/pond hockey atmosphere type game, like the 2010 one at Fenway was...

points there for the taking, must be -- Habs are Reeling w/out Price...for 2nd nite in a row their fans must be made to show O-6 visitors were better team -- & at same time set straight Foxboro folly
B's fans prayer b4 was, Tukka don't get hurt
updated (w/feeling ) -- "Tukka, Zdeno, Marchand, Bergey ... don't get hurt"

Three Canadian teams at the bottom of the Western Conference. Sad.

I hear ya gondicar -- keep it clean Mar-chando -- great great player

it's nothing new tho Bhawk, Edmtn & Calgary have been cellar dwellers for a spell now it seems like
actually they both played well in Dec. -- now tho desert southwest reg-season powers AMDucks, & Joe & the Sharks are starting to rise -- in an otherwise moribund division

Did ya see that Dennis Wideman hit of Calgary on the linesman last night? He did it right in front of Nashville's bench and they were all like, WTF? Wideman should be suspended for the rest of the year. That was just disgusting, awful.

Sorry for the rant but...

I am so sick of the media dumping on John Scott being at the All Star game.

I heard over the weekend and for the past few weeks that there have been people against it and people for it.

The only negative's I hear are coming coming from washed up talking heads in the media and their co-horts. Gary Buttsore looked again like the weasel he is when discussing the situation on CBC yesterday.

I like that the public voted JS in. As he stated in his rebuttal to the league he is an NHL Player and eligible to play in the game.

He worked his ass off for years to play in the NHL, he and every guy in the NHL should have a chance.

If being said that was his last game. How does Montreal not get that guy in their room????

How was a story like John Scott's bad for the NHL's image??? You got guys killing themselves due to concussion issues, guys getting busted with over the counter drugs, pain killer and alcohol issues, ( did anyone read Clint Malarchuk's book?) and John Scott is a threat to the image and integrity of the league and the game of pro hockey???? Pathetic
