I was sitting in front of Gregg I though he sounded better than the Beacon this year. Warren & Derek were awesome on IMOER. Goldie was played first by Susan and then by Derek. Always nice to hear a Whipping Post encore.

During the Santana performance, Carlos walked up to the front of the stage leaned over and pointed to a guy in a wheelchair and handed someone a guitar pick to give to the guy in the wheelchair. Carlos your a class act.

Awesome night at Jones Beach. Beautiful weather and two world class bands performing their magic for four hours. For the $58.00 I paid for my ticket I feel like I was stealing something. Both bands were incredible and both Carlos' and Susan's sit ins with the Brothers were both amazing. Gregg sounded 100 times better than he did at the Beacon and had only one small missed cue.

Santana was high energy and great fun. Had a lot people at different times up and dancing.

I haven't seen a show in ages in daylight. It was pretty bright when Santana started their set. I couldn't focus on the stage. The band kinda' blended in with the front of the audience.

Greg's vocals first few songs were soft. You heard a BIG difference when Warren sang.

The guitar interplay between Warren and Derek was incredible to see and hear!

Great night of music! Great place to see a show only when the weather cooperates and last night was perfect.

Did you miss when he sang the wrong lyrics for One Way Out. He then missed a big cue in Come and Go Blues. I thought he looked and sounded pretty good overall. The ABB really made the most of a short set. I don't think I ever heard MJ and WP in the same show before. This was my first time seeing Santana and they are quite excellent as well. Derek and Warren were both monsters last night but that is hardly news.

My first time seeing Santana and they were fantastic. I danced the whole show almost and felt so great between the great music, having room to dance since I had an aisle seat and feeling the beautiful breeze around me. Nobody harshed my mellow. That alone was priceless.

Carlos is a class act for sure. He was definitely a strong presence but he also had such a strong band that the whole show was perfectly balanced and Carlos was a part of the band and not in anyway unnecessarily dominating. I loved the old photos from past performances they had. Very interesting for me as a person who never saw them but remember their music from when I was a teen. It was a very cool night remembering back then for me. Though Abraxas was released in 1970, It was so popular that in 1973 when I was 15 it was part of the soundtrack of that summer for me and my contemporaries. Thinking back to that summer was much fun.

The ABB were fine. They aren't what they used to be but they are still very very good. They had some different arrangements to the songs so that was cool to hear. I still do wish they would work up a few new songs. And remember new to me means anything other than the songs from the past 12 years. I didn't see them in the 90's so they could bring some of them back too. They do have a lot of cds to draw from.

See you guys tonight at PNC. Looking forward to it.

I've never seen a show there. Everyone agrees that it is beautiful; people do disagree on the sound quality at Jones Beach. Comments?

If the weather is nice, it's great to see a show there!
If it's cold and rainy, it can suck.

The sound last night was very good.

IMHO if you go to Jones Beach spend a little extra coin on getting good seats. The sound isn't so good the higher you go up. I love the venue especially on beautiful nights such as last night. Great show! Gregg while still not perfect sounded pretty good. I was at some Beacon shows where it was just obvious that he wasn't up to par but it really wasn't the case. His flubs were far less severe then the Beacon ones I saw. From what I heard about All Good and Darien Lakes was very positive. Maybe they should have scheduled more time in between each show so he could rest more. I'm not sure. Warren and Derek were mind blowing and the drum section sounded stronger as well then it did at the Beacon. Overall, I really enjoyed last night and I love the Dylan cover. The band is still awesome to see and man they still can lay it down. If you got tickets don't worry you're going to have fun! I'm a young guy so I don't know what it was like to see the band when they blew minds apart back when and I love that this fan base has serious expectations. Just don't let you serious epectations take from your good time. There is a lot of feel good stuff to be had.

I was all the way up top a litle off center on Gregg's side and the sound was stellar! The sound is fine up top at Jones Beach ever since they did the renovation which added the top level. They totally upgraded the sound system at the same time and it has been great since unless you go on the windiest of nights. Before they added the top mezzanine level and new sound system the sound sucked up top but is is excellent now unless the wind is blowing really hard.
