Okay, ticked off England and London in particular....on to Israel and Poland. Let's see how that goes.

He's obviously a bright & successful person & does well when he stays on point or script. However, in the public arena he seems to have a hard time speaking or responding to questions extemporaneously. He had a series of gaffes today in England.

My take on the man is he does well when he's in his own arena and is calling all the shots but he doesn't do so well when he's not in control of the situation. He isn't especially quick on his feet when relating to the 'common' people. His discomfort shows big time.

that is my impression also (he works well with "Yes" men). He is not used to having his ideas questioned and if they are questioned he has someone else study the problem and come up with an answer that fits his narrative.

I think it takes talent to appear out-of-touch in a country that still has a Queen.

It, to me seems as silly as the lesbians getting all puffed up over the Sally Ride tweet.

Meanwhile, we have a president at home who is hopelessly out of touch with his own country, including the queens.

Sounds a lot like the current president as well.

Just read that Romney went to Israel and insulted over half a dozen of the American allies by insulting their religion. What is the GOP thinking?!

So far the 3 main take aways from Romney are he wants to screw 30 million people out of healthcare, he wants to start another war and he wants to revert back to the Bush policies that almost crashed the world economy. He is truly a man of vision.

Sounds a lot like the current GOP House as well.

Fixed it for you

The perception of Willard is that he has a stiff personality & presentation in public. He would probably be better served by acting more like an automaton than actually thinking on his feet. He seems to just keep stepping in it. It's possible that he just can't help himself, as this is who he is.

Mitt should be spending his time abroad talking down the United States and apologizing. What is he thinking?

Just like Romney's slice & dice edited commercials, everything seems to be purposely taken out of context. Our PR standing now in the world is much better with Obama than with the damage done under "W". If Mitt is elected and continues down the path of his foreign tour gaffes (or true beliefs) so far, we'll head south once again.

Another totally fabricated false conservative myth and talking point. Pulled from someones rectum with no basis in fact.

Please supply at least one link showing Romney proposing to relax lending standards so everyone can own a home.

Mitt didn't break any big news. Olympic security concerns have been splashed all over the newspapers in the UK. Is it a gaffe to repeat what's been in the headlines?

The same could probably be said of Tom Landry or Bill Belechik. Didn't seem to effect their job performance much.

re: security - "Is it a gaffe to repeat..."

Answer - Not really but more of 1) not well thought out, 2) not going to win over any friends in England, and 3) not high on common sense. Bottom line - it was a net negative for Mitt if that matters.

There were a series of gaffes. It wasn't just the security statement. Fact is that Mitt is a pattern gaffer.
