They're not selling the CD of the show Santana sat in with the ABB?

I guess that explains why Carlos has only played with them at one show.

Yeah I've been waiting for this all week! Santana's appearance on the recording might mean legal troubles. Then again, if guys like Kid Rock are cool with it, you'd think Carlos certainly would.

I bet the ABB regret having him sit in for that show then if he hasn't sat in with them and having Warren and Derek sit in with him instead.

I don't understand what the problem would be though. I saw a whole big line of people waiting to get their Instant Live download after the show! Did they edit out the Santana part on that???? Otherwise, what gives???

The physical CD of the show posted for sale on HTN lists the Santana Mountain Jam sit-in on the track list, so maybe they're not editing it out? I emailed customer service at munckmix to see if the show will be posted so helpfully they'll get back to me within a few days, I'll post their answer on here if I get one.

i got a question. why did they pour all drinks "at the band's request" and why did they confiscate all sealed bottles of water at the gate? I'm sure some got in as I saw a few small bottles. i was told it was "for this show only" WTF??

were the bands getting a cut of the drinks? i went to phish 3 weeks earlier and brought in 1.5 ltr of ice cold from the cooler waters for my friend and i.

i had a soda finally but thought this sucked.

anybody have a similar experience or thoughts?

I have brought sealed water bottles in to every show I've been to at Jones Beach including the Allman Brothers & Widespread Panic a few years ago.

I was told by security that it was at the band's request. I asked him which band, and he said he wished he knew. He would have told everyone which band said no to the water bottles. He seemed rather perturbed by the ban, as well as the fans who were shooting down 20 oz. waters real quick before going in.

Being that the water bottles were allowed for the ABB & WP a few years ago, I do not see them as being the problem. I have to also assume the security guy was telling the truth about the band's request; since they are allowed at every other show I've been to at that venue.

All this leads me to beieve Santana issued the no water bottle policy. Why? Who knows.

My friend walked right by security at the gate with a 20 oz bottle of water hanging out of his back pocket and they didn't notice. They had a whole big pile of unopened bottles that they took from other people though. I never buy anything inside venues anymore. Food and drink prices are so out of control that I would have to literally be dying of thirst or hunger to spend a dime in a rip off venue like Jones Beach. I never understand how people are willing to shell out $8 or $10 for a freakin' beer. I fill up before the show and have something waiting for me at my car for afterwards. The greedy lets make 1000% profits off of the stupid consumer people don't get a dime off of me.

I do like the vendor booths at festivals like Mountain Jam who usually have quality product at fair prices.
