Relocating as soon as the bankers say go. Will have to fly and put one cat in cargo hold (oh my). Cat professionals say cats are "terrified of flying, especially in cargo". Oh my.
Anyway want to drive with little notice? All expenses on me (that's gas, Motel 8 and McDonald's not Best Western and lobster).
PM me.

Well, 148 looked. That's sweet even if no one can do it.

Thanks, John but I understand you have a job and a family. I will see your handsome face soon enough.

Colin, you are so sweet but, yes, that's a very BIG ocean.

Thanks Randy. Thanks everybody. I think I got myself that ride. It's all a matter of timing.

Didn't even notice the number of posts or views today. Do I feel loved today or what?

Y'all a GREAT bunch!

It's like swimming. Cats don't like to swim, but they will.

They don't like to fly either, that's why I want to drive.

I'm "retired" of sorts because I really don't know what I'd do to make a living. Working the checkout line at Kroger's is respectable work but I doubt it would pay the rent.

Liz, do you have more than one cat? I haven't flown with a cat before, but I thought the airlines require them in an under-seat cage rather than in baggage.

I did fly a cat from NY to Texas about 20 years ago. I got tranquilizers from the vet, gave him one before leaving the house and another before entering the airport, and my friend who picked him up at the airport in Texas said he was fine. Don't feed the cat that morning, but you do have to put a food dish in the cage (airline regulations, even though there is no food or water in the dish). Also, don't forget copies of the vaccination records.

I've driven cross-country quite a few times, with cats. I don't think they like riding in a car any better than flying in a plane. Cats just don't like changes to their routine, just like some people.

Congratulations on the move!
