I already reload for my shotgun (try finding shells for a 16 gauge), and am now getting into reloading with my pistols and rifles. I use a Lee Load Master progressive press. I'm now looking for recommendations about who has better prices on primers, powder and projectiles (do searches for bullets and you get loaded rounds).

Who do you order from, and if you live in Middle Ga, where do you purchase them?

Usually I need about 15 to 20 minutes and then I'm ready to "reload" again...

I see that the anti's are trying to impose a 50% tax on ammo(not sure if its going anywhere) so reloading is going to become far more popular.persoanally just dont have the time.It is interesting to work up different loads per activity.

Last month we were at a small gun store near here, sheriff deputy I was talking to in store pointed to an empty shelf and laughed, said "there's where all the .223 ammo is".

That's the way it is all around middle Ga. The only pistol/revolver ammo to find is 38, 45 Long Colt, 380, 9mm, 25, and a few obscure calibers like Tokarev and Moisin-Nagant.
Don't even think of going to a counter and asking for .223 rounds or projectiles. They'll laugh and tell you it's al on back-order till February.

It's a hobby that is a little costly to start with, but as you build the loads that shoot best with your firearm, and shoot more often for proficiency, the cost starts coming down.

I am considering doing reloads for the expense and the customization of my loads.
My 5.56 prefered is 62 or 77 grain. Both frangible and ball.

I only can reload if my wife helps and is patient!

My conceal carry instructor strongly urged against using reload ammo for self defense purposes. He has seen civil and criminal cases where the prosecution will try to exploit the issue. The grain count, the bullet weight, every characteristic about the bullet can be questioned if you are the one that assembled it giving the prosecution another avenue to go down. There is no further liability on your end when off the shelf factory ammo is used, any facts, issues, or potential problems is for the manufacturer to answer.

Whatever you do, don't order from Personal Choice Outfitters. Found that they have had problems with telling you something is in stock, charging your credit card, and not delivering the merchandise for several weeks or months. Meanwhile, they've got your money.
Google Personal Choice Outfitters complaints.
