I can't make it till Friday after dark. Questions: If you had to guess, will there still be room for an RV by 8:30 or so judging from past years, and will be a pain in the rear to park in the RV area after dark? I know there are no hook-ups.

I know these questions may be difficult to answer, but the answers will most likely sway me one way or the other. I would like to park, leap out (perhaps waiting till the RV comes to a full stop), and start enjoying myself as quickly as possible.

Brock, are you heading down?

This sounds great! I most likely will head down Blooby. The dunes may have sealed it for me, being the naturalist wannabe that I am:

Any canoeists/kayakers going? I'm thinking of bringing my boat.

Friday night is fine so long as you arrive before midnight. We close the gates and continue the music and party at midnight. After that, you can call the office (# to be posted soon) on site if you need to get in. It will be dark back in the camping area. While we'll have lights guiding the way and volunteers with flashlights, please bring some flashlights. Your headlights on the RV will be fine to get you into the RV area. We have plenty of signs and plenty of room!

Terry

I'm in. A buddy of mine and myself are coming up.

Brock, I didn't know you were a boater. I am an avid kayak fisherman/camper. Don't know if I will bring one this time, but I camp regularly on stretches of the Suwannee. If you are interested, we must chat, perhaps while we break bread (Does the yeast content in Guinness count?) at Hoopee Jam.

Awesome, Blooby. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. We have some of the Helen's Hilton family coming too from Tally.

Here's the poster. If anyone wants posters or flyers to distribute in their neck of the woods, please email me and I'll get them right out. treeves@musicmattersentertainment.net Thanks!

Ok, no more weasel-words, I'm in too Blooby.

My paddling is mostly whitewater, but a little flatwater on the Hoopee might be an interesting side-trip. I am working some contacts to see if there are canoes to be borrowed (mine is a solo), so bring your PFD.

Guiness, eh? I see another common interest!

Yes see yall real soon, It's going to be a GREAT weekend of MUSIC!! Cant wait to see everybody.
One suggestion make sure you bring lots of bug spray and sunscreen....skeeters are awful this year! I'm pretty sure the shade tents are okay to bring to catch a little break from the afternoon sun, I will check with Renee in a bit to make sure. Its a huge field just like Wanee so not lots of shade...but LOTS OF FUN!
See yall there

Very few, Brock It's really quite laid back.

As for the hippie van, I wish I could say I will be making my arrival at the Hoopee in such a cool vehicle. I will have the little gold Honda packed to the brim!

For anyone on the fence, check out the website at www.hoopeejam.com and the prices...$30/day & $60/weekend advance, $35/day & $70 weekiend at the gate for a killer lineup. I feel very blessed to have these folks comin' down to Miss Hoopee's farm!

See ya Friday!

Absolutely killer Friday night at Hoopee!
The wind was a little high so we didn't set up the HTN tent.
The bands had 100% of my attention and it was a so,so enjoyable!.
Such significant talent on stage, whose music I hold close and dear.
I thought a lot about Bill Ector last night. He was with us at the first Hoopie Jam...

Attendance is way up this year and the the farm is in wonderful shape - very well done, nice job!
The cast of "characters" present in the crowd is what makes this such a win/win.
The music's great and the people are family.
Kind of reminds me of the early Magnoliafest days.

We got here in time to hear a little of the Bo Henry Band for the first time - very worthwhile.
They were followed by the Jeff Sipe Trio, who was superb, absolutely superb.

Mike Farris brought his God given gift of vocals to the next performance and when Jimmy Hall joined him it starting hittin' me how special this night had quickly become...magic was in the air.

Randall Bramblett played a lot of new tunes from his upcoming release - The Bright Spots.
During the performance Jimmy Hall comes up to me and says "do you know a better musician than Randall?" I agreed wholeheartly - he is a master of so many instruments and he is the William Faulkner of songwriters. I don't know of anyone that writes more intelligently. Can't wait to see Randall at the Georgia Theatre next week for his CD release party. He had us all hoopin' and hollarin at Hoopee last night. The Col. was the last act we saw. Very tasty keyboards, guitars and drums. I left a very happy man. We missed 'em but I heard "Little Al" took the crowd to church after Bruce!

Can't wait for the music today -Wet Wilie, Tommy Talton, Sonny Moorman, Diane Durrett, Lingo!!! Randall as artist at large...gonna be fun...we are so lucky!
