For me, disc 2 is over the top, Clarence, Wilson, and Duane adds so much to each song. I find myself going back to this disc on the iPod more than the others. Disc 3 would be my second go to.

I haven't invested in this boxset yet, but I'm feeling that I should...is it much of a "step up" from the two Duane Anthologies?

If the Cream is on the 2 Anthologies, then this Set is the whole bottle of milk. I found myself enjoying the Anthology material on this set the best. But then the extra Wilson Pickett stuff really started to stick, and the extra Sam Samudio songs, and John Hammond, and oh hell, just get it!

^^
yes, definitely a worthwhile purchase.

I'm torn between d2 and d6 with the Herbie Mann.

There aren't many (or any) shots of the album cover for "Push, Push," is there?

I know I should go for it, but $119 is a heck of a hit these days...

Just got mine in the mail and so far I'm very impressed

I already had the Anthologies but this has everything. Also very cool that when you open the box its like opening a guitar case (guitar players will understand). Just started listening and looking forward to playing this a lot.

For those not sure about buying it for themselves, this would make a great gift
