Well, from the setlists so far, it looks like Duke Robillard has replaced Charlie Sexton in Dylan's touring band for 2013. From the tapes I have heard Robillard has already added a fresh jump to the sound, I think this is pretty exciting, I saw Duke about 15 yrs. ago and thought he was quite awesome. Who knows something about this here, Anyone?.................Peace........joe

Yup...Duke Repaced Sexton.Dylan wasn't letting sexton take any leads for more than half of last year's tour...kinda shut ole Charlie down...he tends to do that when a particular musician no longer fits the conception of the music as Bob hears it in his head....Duke has been favored by Dylan since he guested on Time Out of Mind. The shows on this tour have been great, featuring a few from Tempest each night. Also, the piano/guitar interaction between Dylan and Duke has been particularly creative.

Yes, Duke Robillard is the man now. I saw the opening night of the tour here in Buffalo. Would have wished he played more of the older, well known songs as I'm more of a casual fan. The band though, was excellent as well as the sound. Dylan's voice was in pretty good form, you could even understand most of the lyrics.

The opening act, Dawes, also put on quite the show. One of the better, unknown opening acts I've seen in a while.

I get to see this show Tuesday night! I have at least one of Dawes' releases on iTunes and I really like what I hear.

Duke Robillard is a very good guitar player. Seems kinda odd as long as Charlie has been in the band things are not working, jiving anymore.....strange.

Charlie Sexton has been in and out of Bob's band before. He's a fine player, but I think Duke Robilard is a better fit for Bob's current style of music. I hope Bob's tour comes within driving distance of my burg. Soon!

I have a hunch he will return to Chastain this yr. If so, you are hooked up! Think ABB '12 seats.

I really enjoyed the show last night! Duke was excellent on lead guitar.

Bob Dylan, "the character", cracks me up. I also am glad he played on a grand piano instead of that cheesier (to my ears) electric keyboard he played when I last saw him a few years ago.

I love the sound of His Band (as opposed to The Band), and was enthralled watching and listening to the drummer. Was that George from the "Tempest" album (and perhaps others; I don't have time to look)?

I went to The Mosque last night to catch Bob Dylan and his Band. The sound was A+. The Band was A+++. Bob was A+++.Simply put, the sold out crowd got a great sounding show from a top notch band. If he is heading your way chances are you're gonna get a show to remember.

The reviews for these shows have been incredibly good.

If you are interested in daily reviews and Dylan news, check out the website called Expecting Rain...a great site...I try not to miss a day reading it....very solid and comprehensive coverage of past and present Dylan info....a must read for hard core Bob freaks!

To discourage picture taking,filming....it blurs the picture.Dylan prefers no machines and that people live in the moment.

Nice concept.
