Saw the TTB at the NJPAC in Newark, NJ last night with my wife. For those of you who've never been there, it's absolutely stunning with it's polished copper handrails & trim throughout, think Avery Fischer Hall in Lincoln Center, NYC.

The band was very tight and Derek played very well with Susan's powerful voice filling every corner of the venue. I thought the keyboard solo in the middle of " Bound for Glory" kinda slowed the tempo and groove of this foot stomping tune, my favorite TTB song.

There'a a nice jeff Wood tour poster for sale at the merch stand for $25.00 so bring a tube if your interested and don't forget to say hi to Derek's dad who runs the TTB merch stand.

That is the fisrt set list I think I have ever seen that excludes 'Midnight In Harlem'. Have they been giving that one a well needed rest or is this a rare occasion??? Looking forward to the new record!

Even I have to admit these two songs pop up regularly in the rotation.

We did not go to the show, but did meet a couple of friends for dinner at the venue beforehand. I don't know if it was just this venue, but the crowd looked older and straighter than what I would have expected.

I noticed that at the Beacon Thr. last Sept. at the two shows I went. At least in the Loge where I sat.
It was a good thing. The audience was very respectful, no chatter, no drunks, etc.

Susan commanded the stage! I'm going again to the two shows this year.

Is there a release date for a new album? We're seeing the two Beacon shows in September as well as PNC

Tedeschi Trucks Band ?@DerekAndSusan 16 Apr

At our upcoming April & May run, we'll be joined on bass by the legendary Bakithi Kumalo. We're rehearsing with him now and it sounds great!

My wife and I saw them in Reading last night. If this isn't one of the best touring outfits on the road right now, I don't know who is. I said the exact same thing about the audience, what a treat. Met the the trombone and sax players after the show. Words really can't describe how good they are live right now. All around wonderful experience.

Gonna see them with the Crowes @ the Mann in August. Can't wait for that one.

Oh, that's right--I'd seen that and spaced out. Thank you for the reminder. If they need a permanent replacement...
