Shall we try this again?

I guess this kills off Wild Bill's, not that I'm complaining!

I wish more people were aware of the Notlaws widow robbing tactics and not support those thieves.

"Notlaws" controversies aside (and I don't know anything about all this), Wet Willie is enough to get me there! Hopefully, Mr. Betts graces us with a long awaited fine performance! You know I'll be there!

Rusty, it is very selfish of you to put your own musical enjoyment ahead of a bitter vendetta between warring factions of some band. Sure, you will probably have a good time, but what about the ghost of Hughie Thomasson, doomed to wander endlessly in Purgatory, wailing and gnashing his teeth about the injustice of it all?

Then again, some people are just better at holding grudges than others. Ron can probably give you lessons, if you ask him nicely.

Heh heh.

Yes, it is true. We were waiting on word from the venue to announce. That hasn't come yet, but I see it's public knowledge now, so yay!! It WILL be a killer show!

I guess all the pit tables were sold to series subscribers. Got terrace A, shady side. Hope there's some sit-ins. And no cancellations!

Dickey has cancelled several shows recently. I'm hoping that he plays this one, but I'll be holding off buying my tickets until the day of the show.

I think I saw the Allman Brothers, Wet Willie, and White Witch in the Macon Coliseum in 1973 or 1974...

The weather is supposed to be great next week in ATL. Its about time for some good weather as we were starting to to think about building a freaking arc! If Dickey cancels; I will be sad that he pulled another no show but the inconquerable Jimmy Hall NEVER freaking lets you down! I know there is big time grumbling about this version of the Outlaws but I am looking forward to hear what they bring to the table.

Some of us are meeting at LaFonda at 5pm pre-show. It's at the corner of Wieuca and Roswell Rds. Come by if you can.

Also, a semi-visible space station flyover during the show:

If Hophead attends, perhaps he can take a picture of it.

If you can find the Lost Demos MT was selling that's what the Outlaws sounded like in the North Tampa bars as they were on the edge of success.

Real.

I think it's more the band's fault. When bands are formed they should use one name, nobody should have to sign a clause that says they cannot even say they were a former member of he band if they leave voluntarily or not. Each person's contribution should be equal to the rest of the members. If there are four people it should be a 25% split across the board. If anyone leaves a band, let them come up with a new name for another band or use their own personal name as part of the new band's name. If they haven't left enough of a mark that people will know who they are, then they need to try harder with the next band to create their legacy.

This well let's re-form the band and I'll get 62.5% and you get 37.5% is ridiculous. How could anyone agree to that? Henry should have walked at that point and just created a well respected band with a full schedule, play small halls 500 or less people and have an active touring schedule.

The Outlaws should have just remained The Outlaws. Henry could have come up with a band named Henry Paul's Outlaw Band, or Henry Paul Outlaw, or Henry Paul and the High Tides Band, High Tides Rebels, or anything else if he wanted to remind people who he is, or maintained his Henry Paul Band, which had some successful tours up here for the Grey Ghost Tour. (and if he wanted to use any of the above, go ahead, I even forgive him for that Press Pass at the Capital in Passaic when they opened for the Rossington Collins Band; whaddaya mean we're not on the list - faux pax!)

He ought to get a schedule and play some small halls like Derek did, the Visualite in North Carolina etc., anyplace in Texas etc. he could do all right.

Truth be told - I'm just not that huge an Outlaws/Notlaws fan. I have unconditional indifference towards them. If I hear them on the radio I don't change the channel, but I can't see me buying tickets for a show where they are the headliner. I don't keep up with their soap opera.

You can rain on this picnic all you want, but bottom line - Wet Willie will be there and that's cup runneth over for me!
