This has nothing but Belichick sticking it to the Jets written all over it. Probably paying his salary out of his own pocket.

It's more a thing that if they can even somewhat successfully use Tebow this year in any way it will show the Jets that they have no idea how to coach a player.

That said, I bet he's cut before the season starts.

And Billcheat won't learn their play book as the Jets have a new offensive coach and plays

Who gives a cr@p!!!!!! Why is this idiot on the front page of my newspaper again???? He is nothing but a publicity stunt. He is not an NFL quality player AT ANY POSITION!!!!!! He is the 55th man on a 55 man roster if he even makes the roster at all!!!!! I have never in my life seen such a no talent player get soooooooo much friggin attention. College is over Tebow and so should be your football career unless you want to see if you are good enough to play in Canada in the CFL. They need to stop treating this guy like he is some kind of top talent and treat him like the ex college player who isn't good enough for the NFL player that he really is.

This will not last. Tebow is determined to p;ay Q-back and is not a pro quarterback...

Pretty much everyone knows this, but for some reason people are obsessed with him and ESPN will beat him over our heads as long as it draws viewers and hits on their webpage.

Tebow has alot of heart. he may not have the goods to be an NFL QB, but im sure he will make the roster at another position.

Look - I'm no big fan of his, but the thing about Tebow is that he's a winner. Look what he did at UF, and look what he did in Denver. There's a common denominator here, and it's his ability to win. Especially at Denver - the ability to put together winning drives when needed. Time will tell if he makes the cut. If he does - how much playing time will he get? I hope he does well there.

With that said...go Redskins.

rex ryan never wanted him there so what does that have to do with coaching? the owner woody johnson brought in tebow.

that may be true but i still don't see how what appeared to be a move by rex ryan to stick it to the owner has to do with anything. ok so maybe tebow does good in new england. thats fine the team obviously wants him there. only woody johnson wanted tebow on the jets

It is really a great move for both Tebow and the Patriots. Tebow has no pressure on him to play the QB spot. He can learn from one of the very best in the league in Tom Brady. He can be the 3rd string QB and really not take a roster spot. It is like adding another weapon nobody else has. I am going to guess they are going to use him in many different roles and he will be utilized as a "football" player and I am going with Tebow scoring 8 touchdowns this year. I would think Belichek would love for Tebow to be successful and show the Jets how stupid they were and how under utilized Tebow was and how they wasted his skills as a "football" player.

All Tim Tebow does is help his team win football games, and I am pretty sure that is what it's all about.

On top of that, the media is now focused on Tim Tebow and it allows the other players a chance to get a break from it.

Quote of the day: Rex Ryan said, "If they want to replace Brady with him, that's fine". You could tell Rex was perturbed that the Patriots had picked him up and new that it was probably going to end up biting him in the ass.

It doesn't matter if he wanted him or not, Rex Ryan had him and did nothing with him. The rest of the league has passed on him because nobody thinks he can play in the NFL. If (and that's a big IF) he makes the final 52 man roster it's all about Belichick showing the league and the Jets how smart he is in that he can find a way to use Tebow where every other team in the league has passed on him. He likes his reclamation projects.

Again, I don't see him even making the cut down to the final roster unless he just stands out in the summer. Mallett will be their back up QB and they have never carried a 3rd stringer. He's not going to replace Brady on the goalline as Brady's success rate in scoring from there is too great for them to take the ball out of his hands.

Either way, I hate the whole AFC East.

I am not a Tebow hater and I dont understand why some people want to drag him over the coals for who he is. He was a college football player who got drafted into the NFL.
Blame the people who drafted him if you dont like him playing football.
I am not a judge of talent so I cant say whether he belongs or not. The media drives this machine and forces it, not Tebow. They make the stories, not him. He seems to be a good christian, of integrity and character. They(media) will latch onto anything they can and run with it. It was mentioned in this thread that he is an idiot. How can that be? Do you know the guy? There are other people I am sure in the NFL that tag may fall onto, but I doubt it would be him. I am really not a fan of his or ever really paid attention to him, never followed him in college. But from what I have seen and heard he seems to be a good guy. He is living under a microscope from what he achieved in college and what he has done and has not done in the NFL and for his beliefs. I guess he had lofty expectations, which he has not met. I am not sure I would judge a persons character on that. If he does not belong in the NFL and gets cut so be it.

oh by the way....Go Colts!!

will be interesting to see how Pats use him. I dont see him down on the goal line. I believe Brady has a tremendous record of making short yardage and TDs on his own. He is amazing at making that short yardage, probably better than Tebow.

I think Tebow will have a role there, Belacheck will figure a way to use him and of course he will destroy the pathetic Jets somehow this season. Belacheck has this sick desire to humble the Jets in any way possible and will continue to do this. Lets face it, the Pats will win the AFC east as long as Brady and Belachek are in the league. You may as well just hand them the trophy before the season starts.

That being said, the Patriots have plenty of weaknesses which are always exploited when they play out of the Eastern division against good teams.

Didn't just a month a go Belichick say he "HATED" Tebow as a player???

I think Tim has skills that most players wish they had the problem is one of the isn't throwing the ball. He'd be a great RB
