You do realize you've painted yourself into a corner where the failure of American society is pretty much your only vindicator?

You can pay me now or pay me later, I guess it will be later, but we will pay for this spending, printing, and binge that this country is on. It has already failed, especially my kids and their kids. They are the ones that are going to pay dearly.

Let the party RAGE !!! Wallstreet sure loves it. Why do you think they called it the roaring twenties? What followed was a disaster. Somethings gotta give, and it will. I just side on the reality that this can't, and won't last. It is unsustainable at best.

1700 will be cheap when this thing is all said and done. Gold is going down because the powers that be want it to go down, they are buying.

Peter Schiff explains this beautifully.

QE is like a drug, instead of going cold turkey, they are just giving the addict more. Like giving the addict more will help solve the addiction.

You can't print or borrow your way out of debt.

You're right. It's unsustainable and something's gotta give. It's frustrating that everybody, even some Democrats realize it's unsustainable but those in power refuse to change course.

I liquidated a bunch of stocks last week hoping the market would drop and I could bottom fish. Everything I sold is up.

It doesn't seem the market has been negatively affected by the shutdown.

When Society collapses, gold will be worthless, too.

Gasoline will be the currency of choice.

Timing & trading is a tricky thing - not as easy as it would seem. Over the years I've backed off a lot & have gone with more investing peppered with a much smaller portion of timed trades. I did do a buy yesterday on an index proxy expecting postive resolution & so far it's played out well. I don't plan on staying in more than a few days. There's alwasys another good trading opportunity around the corner - either long or short.

The patient just got a shot of heroin, of course it is going up.

Eventually the patient is going to be forced to go cold turkey, either by choice or not by choice, it won't matter. Going Cold Turkey always comes with withdrawl sypmtoms.

You may be right, but I don't think so. I would think seeds (food) will be more important than gas.

Perhaps this was not the worst movie of all time; perhaps Nostradamus was alive and well and wrote about the real future

.

Y'all are funny....if Society was actually going to collapse (and it's not igoing to in my lifetime), ammunition would obviously be much more important/valuable than either gold or fuel! As long as I have ammo I can take your gold and seeds, and also make sure that others cannot take them from me!

Peace!
