Nice 7-10 minute segment with Susan. Talked about life on the road and the TTB did 2 songs! When asked about the ABB breakup he joked that he thought the band was finished 10 different times during his tenure.......and he wouldn't bet against the ABB playing together again!

Derek played with Dylan when he was like 12 or 13, I believe. You know, Derek's middle period

It's interesting to hear Derek say that he thought the band was finished 10 times during his time there. That sounds about right to me.

also, only 1 drummer.
my guess is that CBS would only pay for so many musicians

Wow.......how things work!! I've known a few folks who have done that early morning CBS gig. Not a lot of room and a crazy- brutal early roll call and sound check.

I watched the show this A.M. My first thought was that there wasn't a lot room for musicians, & I thought that's why no horns & only one drummer????

From the few times I've watched this show on Saturdays, it's usually been solo players or maybe 2 to 3 musicians.

ABB fan since 1972. Dug both and Derek and Susan as solo artists. Blown away when they hooked up as soulmates. I've supported their joint effort as much as possible , buying multiple albums and concert tix for myself and other folks as gifts, trying to introduce outsiders to the "inside sound". Even the worst TTB song will surpass anything I can tune in on the fm dial.
So , to you Mr. and Mr. Trucks keep on doin what you're doin and this fan will support your efforts. btw , I have brought 10 listeners to your shows who had no idea what you cats played and they all left inspired fans !!
