...no punchline, this really happened.

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/naked-man-cowboy-hat-caught-breaking-h ome/nfP93/?ref=cbTopWidget

That's my Mom and Dad, Bob and Katy Johnson, in the picture halfway down the article. The guy claimed he was their son, but my Mom had a witty quote: "If he's not blond and 6-foot-5, he's not mine."

The poor guy seems to have been harmless and nonviolent, but he needs some heavy meds STAT. Sounds like adult onset of schizophrenia or some other serious mental disorder. Layman's terms? Dude done lost his mind!

He's either on drugs or off medication!

But who here among us has never walked naked into a strangers house wearing a cowboy hat?

and a "naked indian" -- http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/naked-cowboy-and-naked-indian-due l-for-times-square/article4463817/

I was "lucky" enough to spend some time in times square recently since the concerts I went to nyc to see got cancelled (you might have heard about that)...although I did see Jefferson Starship and a real good play about Louis Armstrong called "Satchmo at the Waldorf" and one of the seth myers late show tapings...there's also a bunch of Elmos and Mickey and Minnie mice and a dora the explorer hanging around times square, although I don't think any of them were naked (hard to tell). I couldn't get out of there fast enough...went up the street to the iridium which was closed, but the diner next door had waitresses that sang karaoke--they were doing "I wanna dance with somebody" when I went by, and I couldn't leave there fast enough either. paid my respects to les paul, though, there's a nice commemorative plaque about him on the outside wall so that was nice.
not planning on going back to nyc anytime soon...

"Charged with impersonating a police officer".

Presumably, not a plain clothes officer!

I thought this would give people a chuckle Still can't believe this happened to my folks.

Just to show how laid back they are about the whole thing, I asked my Dad today if they were traumatized by it and he said "No, he was a pretty mellow dude." You mean, aside from the part where he threw your stone UGA bulldog lawn ornament through the window and broke into your house??

And yes, that IS a badass jukebox Lots of classics in there, including Green Onions Part One and Two and many others. Lots of James Brown, Motown, Elvis, all kinds of good music on that jukebox.

Not to mention my Dad's favorite, and unofficial Johnson family anthem, "Rubberband Man" by The Spinners

My cousin Bruce is overseas right now and apparently heard about this story in Seoul, South Korea!

I never thought this would be the thing to bring fame to the Johnsons, but what the hell. We're bad, we're nationwide
