Was perusing a record store in LA yesterday and stumbled across this bootleg double LP produced "Flying Horses Records Ldt"

https://theamazingkornyfonelabel.wordpress.com/tag/allman-brothers-band-dix ie-peach-flying-horses-vinyl-bootleg/

Apparently from a show in Cincinnati from 1979, but the link above claims there was no ABB show at Riverfront Coliseum in 1979,

Label says band arrangement featured "Dangerous Dan Toler on guitar and David Rock Goldflies on bass with Special Guests Bonnie Branlett on vocals and Jim Essery harmonica, Joe Lala percussion and Mimi Hart also on background vocals.

The long and short of it is the record absolutely smokes and is clearly a soundboard recording. Back Cover at says recorded by 'The Sausilito Record Plant Remote Truck and the The New York Record Plant Remote Truck."

Does anyone know anything about this particular boot, aka what date this show stems from, and how they were able to get a Remote Truck at the venue to record off the board.

Anyways, super stoked I didn't have any good recordings from this era until now.

Thanks in advance to any info.

Can you give us the set-list and track times?

I've a bunch of shows from '79 and might be able to identify it.

Sure- Setlist as labeled on Back Cover

Dont Want You No More
Cross to Bear
Cant Take It With You
Crazy Love
Need Your Love So Bad
Blind Love
Blue Sky
Statesboro
Intrumental gig (As Labeled on Back Cover)
One Way Out
Try One More Time
Southbound
Just Aint Easy
Liz Reed
Jessica

(One other thing- Dickey Mentions "He Hopes Everyone is Enjoying This On The Radio" so apparently there was an FM broadcast which explains the recording truck / SBD recording )

I know it says Riverfront Coliseum, Cincinnati, but could it be from Memorial Coliseum, New Haven, CT, June 10, 1979? All songs on the album were played at that show which was broadcast (I think) on WPLR.

Good work. This has to be it. Even though the songs don't line up on the vinyl precisely, some of the tracks did have have edits between songs, I assume they had to re-arrange some of the setlist to get tracks to line up for timing purposes on each side of the LP.

Using this date, I found this old thread regarding more information on the show.

http://allmanbrothersband.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=XForum&fi le=viewthread&tid=92312

Now I gotta track down the tapes for the full show to hear these encores, what a smoke show! Besides some nasty dropouts and some awkward stereo panning, the band is just tearing it up. 1979 style.

Thanks for the help on this.

Their set list did not vary at all in 1979, it could be anywhere. I was at the may 10th 1979 show in new haven ,and yes it was broadcast live on WPLR, did they do any other radio broadcasts in 79?.

Is this an old bootleg vinyl from the 70's or is this a new pressing? If it is a vintage one, please post some pics. On an ABB boot vinyl note, I have 1/2 a 73 boot (they released two double albums rather than a quadruple album and sure would like to find the other 1/2.....
