I went to Montclair and Philly. Both were good. Philly was great. By far the most ABB experience out there. Spent a lot of time with the band on bus etc and they are all happy to be playing together. Shame that they didn't draw better... not sure there's enough name recognition. Pretty sure these shows will boost name recognition if/when they do this again. Those of you on FB, I livestreamed stuff each night... they are on the page.

This band is something else. Can't imagine they wouldn't get some fan traction if they played more and became better known. But this is some seriously good music, as good as any ABB fan could want.

..here is the show from Philly

Gregg Allman doing a sit-in with them would be cool.

Well, yeah. Then it would be the Allman Brothers Band. Damn good as it is... and nice to hear a lot of songs played in original keys and at original tempos.

Was at the Montclair nj show.
Band was great, the sound mix was the worst i've heard in a while...
The mixing board was the smallest i've seen for that size band. Maybe it was
an open concrete floor with no seats (i've seen DTB there with seats and it sounded good).
hope they come back to the area soon but at a different venue.

As far as Les Brers filling venues, part of the problem may be people like me. They blew me away, but I had passed on tickets initially.

I'm most interested in Gregg, Warren, and Derek.

Without thinking much about, I had written these guys off as another bunch of musicians coasting on the old catalogue, like an Outlaws thing. What a mistaken impression!! Shame on me. Obviously, in hindsight, I should've been highly cognizant of the fact that any time you get the likes of Butch, Oteil, Jack, it will be high quality tunes.

They rocked my world. They performed with a level of intensity, hunger, aggression, skill, and exploration that was so satisfying. Sign me up they come back to town. In the meantime, I'll be telling friends not to miss this band. You do too.

They were tremendous. I went to the Fillmore in Philadelphia and the next night at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA (interestingly the same place I saw Gov't Mule for the first time back in 1995). Talked to Kirk West both nights who kinda helped me get my vinyl copy of the first ABB album autographed by Butch and Jaimoe. Jack and Pat Bergeson play really really well together! The whole band does, really. I want to mention how much I like Lamar Williams Jr's vocals; really really soulful and he's a super nice guy. I know posted this somewhere else in the forum too, but thanks for doing this little tour with a couple dates within driving distance for me. I really enjoyed them and I hope I get to see this band again really soon.

Those are some really good reviews folks. I'll be looking to go when they are in the DC, Richmond, Charlottesville, area.

I saw them the last night of the tour at westbury, I new it would be a fun night and a great night of music and it was. If you love Allman Brothers music then this is for you. Pass the word around and let people know about them. I also bought the live cd's at the show of Rutland , Vt 9-10-16 and Wanee Music Festival 4-13/16-16 , they sound great and are all 3 cd sets. pass the word around enjoy and eat a peach for peace.

I was at Westbury too. What's been said above is 100% accurate. These guys are the real deal. ANY chance you get down the road to see this band - take it. I can honestly say that, I had high expectations going in and they were exceeded exponentially. In case you're not following me...these guys were damn good!

I believe this is by far the closest band out there right now to having an ABB experience.

Having seen Gov't Mule, TTB, & Les Brers in the last month or so, and Gregg's band and the Freight Train Band within the last year or so; I have to wholeheartedly agree with you Al. I hate to be sacrilegious to the ABB, but the Les Brers version of Jessica...better than any I've heard in many, many years.

Without a doubt. The Mule version with Jack and chuck last NYE was off the hook. Jack takes it back to the original sound.

When I saw the Peachfest 2015 lineup, and saw the list of names under Les Brers, I was floored right then and there. I remember seeing thread after thread after thread after Warren and Derek announced they were leaving, about what fans would want to see moving forward. Yes, I know the frontman and namesake isn't there, but the other spots in the band are exactly what everyone fantasized about getting. Make no mistake, while we may hone in on Warren and Derek's amazing solos, what we're really responding to is that freight train rhythm section - the best on the planet in my opinion, and that's what you still get with Les Brers. As long as you have Jaimoe, Butch, Marc, and Oteil playing together, it's going to be as close to the ABB as you can get. I was also at the Philly show and they were phenomenal, and any fan had the option to see them from 2 feet away. It was a rare special treat we got.

As a die hard, I love the name of the band. But I don't think the majority of the Allman Brothers fanbase connected the name to the ABB, as someone pointed out earlier in the thread. Had the fans known they are getting the core of the band with a classic ABB setlist with new talents like Jack and Bruce, I think it would have drawn much better. Easier said then done, trust me I know. I'm assuming there is a certain surname that can't be mentioned in the marketing of this band which compounds the difficulty of educating everyone on who they are.

I agree. Saw them at Ridgefield and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was always looking for a chance to see/hear Jack, so I jumped on the chance to see this show. Jack's sweet tone is the sound of the ABB and to hear these tunes in such a small venue I was thoroughly impressed.
My former guitar teacher Arlene Roth was also given a spot in the second set.
Looking forward to another tour!

And the band is probably all the better for that, in my opinion.

At least Bruce Katz can take an improvised solo.

The videos I have watched have been excellent.

Couldn't agree more with the positive sentiments expressed regarding Les Brers. I have seen them, and they are fantastic. I missed them on this tour. How was the attendance at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pa.? It is a small club. Also, do these guys tour in one bus? What are the travel arrangements? They have a ton of gear, and 8 band members, plus, I assume, a few roadies. Do they have two buses, and a semi, or just a panel truck?

As a sidebar, I saw Frogwings at the famed Bayou in Georgetown, years ago. Man, I miss that place. Maybe 50, 60 people there. Kind of sad, but yet it was great for those of us in attendance. They played their collective hearts out. Just a phenomenal show.

Someone at the show told me that was Jaimoe's drum tech sitting in on his kit

There was only one bus on Prince Street in Lancaster by the stage door where I was lurking, waiting to get autographs

I was at this one and it was smoking good. Just shocked at how small the crowd was for this. Lots of peeps missed an amazing show. Had Gregg been on vocals it would have been no different then seeing an Allman Brothers show. Pearson's tone and playing are second to none IMO.
