Last night i saw the Dead in Camden and before the show the MUle van was playing new cuts from DJVD and I can honestly say that this one is going to a mean low-down nasty Mule record. Bad Man walking kicks her off nice and rude like and the rest is for us to hear in Sept. Great show last night Jimmy and Warren really hit some peaks in their playing. A song called Strange World really brought out the best in Jimmy Herring.

Sounds great! I'll be checking out the Mule van on wed at PNC. Other than that the first time I'll be hearing Deja Voodoo in its entirety will be at Roseland!

Are they having a CD release party there or something? Maybe if they are they can record the show live and release that as well.

In my opinion, I think Govt Mule should do a InstantLive kinda thing. Would be real cool.

I'm looking forward to hearing this CD, but can't help but feel more than a little disappointed with the choice of title - I knew I'd seen it somewhere before...

Ok, the band Heavy Stereo weren't exactly a household name in the UK (and probably sold about 3 records in the States!), though their principal songwriter went on to join Oasis, who are at least a little more well-known worldwide.

Couldn't you have been a little more original, Warren??

(I seem to recall Peter Nelson making the same point, re the Live...With A Little Help From Our Friends CD too!)

The album title "Deja Voodoo" was also a song title by Kenny Wayne Shepherd on his debut album "Ledbetter Heights" in 1995. A fine song and album IMO.

Give him a break, he wrote all the songs and has likely never heard of that band or album.
