Freebie for 10...... Coot is mailing this disc out today. I'll extract, burn and get this one out over the weekend, hopefully. Once again, many thanks to CaptSkipper for all the work he does to preserve and deliver the goods. You too, Coot!

Count off here and PM your snail addy, please. #10 close the door.

Here's Old Coot's info on this offer:

"As you know The Shoebox Series has been issuing a number of great shows for more than three years now.

Every once in a while, I get lucky enough to have the unbelieveable talents of Captain Skipper involved with a release. Such is the case with tonight's offering. My great thanks and gratitude to Skip not only for his help with this project but for all he does for spreading great music to those who appreciate it.

I am trying to ascertain the exact date of this show. My information says 11/30/72 Milwaukee. I believe that date to be accurate. However, if you check the database here it will make mention of being at Capricorn Studios on that date. Rowland is checking into verifying the suggested date against the contract record of the band.

So, for right now, this show will be referred to as Milwaukee, November 1972. My understanding is that although beginning the process of recording Brothers & Sisters, the band had contracted for a handful of dates. This may actually be the first concert that includes Lamar Williams on bass. As you know, Lamar had just joined the group after the untimely passing of Berry Oakley.

This is an audience tape. It was pretty rough to start with but Captain Skipper has worked his wonders and brought it up to very listenable form. Grading is very subjective but this one is in the A- range, for whatever that is worth.

Here is what Skip did:Cassette>Tascam>Soundforge 7 + Waves Plug Ins>EAC>CDR. He applied noise reduction, SCME EQ, repaired some sound glitches and inserted crowd noise from this show between all songs. (Some were just abrupt cutoffs)

Now, a little about the show. As I said, perhaps Lamar's first with the band. Starts out with some nice slip & slide guitar by Dickey on the first three songs. A very nice Les Brers. The beginning of a nice Mountain Jam, which cuts off at the 11 minute mark. Wish we were able to hear the entire rendition! Solid show throughout. Hope everyone enjoys!

And thanks again to THE MAN, Captain Skipper.
