Bummer--that was the most varied torrent site I'd ever seen.

There were some very gutsy uploaders, though.

That sucks, just starting to like the place. Plus, I can't figure how to D/L from the Traders Den.... Confusing the hell out of me!

Was that the one that had the "FU" attitude on what bands were posted?

You might be thinking about Everyday Jones - that guy had a definate FU approach...EDJ is also defunct.

Most people were pretty good about taking out released tracks & alerting mods. I hadn't seen an ABB upload in the 2 weeks I was there, so wasn't TOO bad..

EDJ is the bad one

I think you're right. EDJ was a spin-off of STG, right?

I was totally into STG (even bought one of their fundraiser t-shirts), but never tried EDJ or EZT. I use bt.etree.org. The folks there get all the DTB and Mule up right away, and I can get all the Kimock and Dead from the LMA, so I'm good.

There were definitely things on there I wouldn't have downloaded.

Someone put up VH1's RnR HOF Induction program recently.

EDJ could be viewed as a follow-on to STG, I guess, though, that you could say the same thing about The Trader's Den.

I think the final straw came when they hosted one of Sandman's posts without his prior written consent.

What a big time bummer. EZT had some really great jazz and blues downloads. This sucks!

Lawyers = greedy blood-sucking **** s.

Do something to help - stop buying CD's today & show them what a difference YOU can make...

P.S. I originally framed the bleeped-out word in quote marks, as I really wanted my thoughts to register - however, as there is the possibility that young & impressionable minds could read it, I have changed it back. My feelings remain however...

I share your affection Paul. Probably lawyers for the bootleggers, EZT was killing their business. I have traded going back many years to the Van Morrison site with the owner of EZT and he is as fine a person as you would ever want to know. He did a helluva job while it lasted...RIP EZT.

etree is way too limited for my musical palette, especially with no jazz or old blues. Time to visit some of my old secret haunts...

I went crazy this past week on EZT, making over 100 CD's easily

A lot of catching up to do
