How about a thread designated to some really high-end and rare pictures of guitars. Try not to discuss any of the pictures here, unless you really can't hold back. Instead, just post pictures, and links to pictures. The idea is for it to be a gallery rather than a discussion thread. I hope you all enjoy some of these rare gems!

Re Jerry's Strats:

Has a bunch of history on Jerry's gear as well as Bobby & Phil's
stuff. Some great pictures, especially older guitars from the early days.

Haisija, that same uncle has a black ES-335 a la B.B. King's Lucille, an ES-175, '82 tobacco sunburst Les Paul, an Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty (black with 3 pickups and gold hardware) and I think he has a Gretch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman. And to top it all off, he has a 1937 Gibson electric amplifier...in mint condition. He's got a nice collection going.

Dave, This is the prototype Les Paul actually created to achieve what soon thereafter became the ES-150. Is this a picture of your uncle's axe? Very beautiful!

To my surprise, my wife presented me with my anniversary gift (5 years) on Friday night:

A brand new Les Paul Studio Fireburst.

This is veering off subject slightly. Here's an old picture of Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs) with his "Frankenstein Telecaster" -Tele body, Strat neck, Gibson Frets, 12-string bridge and (I think) Gibson humbucking pick-ups and about eight toggle switches. That guy just thinks different!

On the Martin Retail Price List
http://www.martinguitar.com/guitars/choosing/pricelist.php

it lists for $1000,000.000! I'd ay that this is a rhetorical guitar!

I would have guessed 50 grand. I was half-way there. Your number is a little confusing, Rusty.

Here's one I always enjoyed looking at:

Playing this one involves using other body parts. It helps if you have a third leg!
