I'll be there both nights! Don't care about the cost. At the young age of 16, I can't miss rock history!

Go if you want but how exactly is EC playing MSG history?

EC and Derek Trucks - it'll be his first time ever gracing the stage at the Garden. They are really making great music right now, I just finished "Layla" from the first night of the Clapton tour (thanks Drew), and now I can't wait. I'm using my MSG connection to hopefully find out the dates before they're officially announced. This guy gave me the Cream dates 4 months before they were announced, so he knows what he's doing.

Because, once again he's playing with a better guitarist who is also from the Allman Brothers.

Before I got a response from my man, I found this:

The Robert Cray Band - Sun 10/01/06 Ithaca, NY State Theatre

Since the Robert Cray Band is opening for Clapton for this run, you'd think that he'd play in NY around the same time that EC is in NY, hence, EC will be there in late September or early October would be my guess

That was all that was confirmed as of that time. Derek told me and others that he would be in the band for the U.S. tour and in recent interviews, he has said how he was looking forward to the U.S. tour, MSG in particular.

Is Derek still going to play in Eric's band, even though dTb is on tour this summer?

If Derek is playing with Eric on the US tour, I'll have to go. If not, it's not worth the outrageous ticket prices the huge arenas charge. They're coming to the RBC Center here in Raleigh, but EVERY show that plays there is WAY overpriced. I had to pass on Paul McCartney -- $90 for the cheap seats in the stratosphere, and that was 2-3 years ago.

I'll save my money for several dTb shows rather than see Clapton without Derek.

Having seen three shows I can't believe Derek won't be asked to stay on the tour. He's integral to what they're doing.

Haven't seen anything confirmed yet...but I will be doing all I can to get over for the Garden shows...

Just before anyone gets too excited about derek's first trip to the garden, be aware that i saw him guest with the other ones at the garden back in 2002. that was a hell of a show, and derek and warren coming out made it special. i'm sure he's also guested with others there before as well.

(World Tour, coming to America

Derek: Yes, this is full on. Iím actually in the middle of filling out my visa application for Moscow. Itís a full on world tour and weíre heading all over the place. If it continues for a solid year, like we think it might, itís gonna touch pretty much every corner. Thatís also exciting Ė Iím getting to see places I never thought that Iíd get to go, much less play them. Iím really excited about the Red Square show in Moscow. That sounds like an experience. Iíll have my camera for that.
