o.k. for the peeps that have been following the show pick your winner now and we will see who got it right when they pick the winner in about five weeks. I'm going with Lucas. I think the Dilana girl shot herself in the foot last night.

Lucas is also my pick. However I think Toby has the most talent.

I think Magni might win. I just think he's a better overall performer.

It's Toby's race to lose. Barring unforeseen circumstances, he should win. When he sang with the band last night, it didn't look like an audition, it looked like a band.

Lukas and Dilana are both talented, but have too much baggage, and neither of them is going to have teenagers swooning about how beautiful they are You're right that Dilana shot herself in the foot, but Lukas didn't exactly come across well in that exchange either.

Magni is very talented, but doesn't have the pretty boy appeal that Toby does. Keep in mind that this is not a talent competition, it's a "who will help us sell the most records" competition.

People will give us a hard time for watching this, but I'd rather watch mediocre music than anything else on TV! Do they even make shows other than cheesy sitcoms and CSI stuff anymore?

The truth of the matter is only Magni likes heavy music. Not that it makes him the winner but it is obvious that the guys in the band know that. Teen popularity will decide it as Rob says.

I agree that to me Toby looked better fronting the band than Dilana.

I didn't think that Lukas came out looking bad from the exchange but his answer wasn't the greatest. He should have simply said she is afraid of me.

Lukas has a unique sound to his voice. You know it is him immediately. Not the best but distinct.

Magni is best overall from covering the various artists. He is also the best musician. he helps them all. Piano, guitar and all the various styles that they cover. Plus I like his personality more than all the rest.

Ryan would very likely be the best solo performer. Maybe not for them but he can obviously write better than the rest.

Dilana has absolutely no range at all. Very limited plus as mentioned I don't think she has the looks to pull off what they need.

Tobi may appeal to the young girls which is why he might win. Not the best talent vocally but the whole package might pull through.

Let's face it. This band won't be all that hot either. Gilby has never done anything. He wasn't even on the G&R records. He has maybe one solo album that went nowhere. Tommy Lee is funny and not a bad drummer. He didn't write the Crue songs and his solo efforts have also gone nowhere. Jason was steady in Metallica and was a huge part of the stage show. Again he didn't write the songs. But he gets points for playing with Govt Mule.

So we have three talent limited guys fronting this band. The guitarist should have been somebody that can write and actually play leads. Sure they will use outside writers and release an album but this will not go much beyond that anyway. I think they know that themselves already. They got a bunch of money thrown at them so why not?

The two original songs they have played did nothing for me and I like heavy music.

I even question the tryouts. Out of all the heavy bands playing clubs, they end up with a bunch of singers who don't even like heavy music. Plus if this was a band being seriously put together, they would have gone with an experienced singer. i.e. John Bush or John Corabi or Seb Bach. The list goes on and on.

Makes for a fun watch with the family though. Young people will be the voters (if the votes are even counted) and then they will be the ones to not really like it. A bunch of 40 something rockers from old bands plus some "reality show" singer. Nahhhh

Also wanted to add that Tobi should be booted just for that version of Layla. Some songs can be rearranged and some can't unless you are the artist that originally did it. That is one of them. Hell even Eric gets bashed for the unplugged version.

I think Toby's voice fits the band and style of music best after last nights performance. But that Dilana can rock and she is fearless and more polished on stage.

yeah, but Dilana might have issues getting through airport metal detectors when the band goes on tour

I vote for Magni. I like him the best.

LOL. I didn't want to sound old or mean by commenting on her machinery. That is so damn unattractive. I read somewhere recently that Christina Agulara (SP) has removed all of hers because of the metal detectors. Wonder where she was pierced?

And those eyelashes Dilana had on when she sang looked liked two moths stuck to her face.

Guess I am just old.

Just like I said, it's gonna be Dilana or Toby. For the style of music they are looking to play these are the only two possible choices. They all sing well and could all probably make it in different types of rock or pop music. But for what Supernova seems to be looking for it's going to be Dilana or Toby. I think it will be Dilana. After last weeks embaracment she had to be a little nervous and she really smoked. She looks head and shoulders above the others when it comes to stage presence. Very pollished.

I believe it's Toby's to lose IMO. Although Dilana is right up there as well.

The house band is the reason I watch. Far better group than Supernova which is kinda funny. They made everyone sound real good this week. I think as a band they hit a new level. That drummer kicks the crap out of it ever tune.

I think for the first time, tonight Dilana laid an egg. Poor song selection and poor execution. Toby is looking to move up and the dark horse is Lucus.

Gillby is a joke, Jason o.k. but Tommy Lee can hold his own with anybody on the drums. He was the only thing Motley Crue had going for them in the first place.

Toby would have to REALLY screw up to lose. Did you see the look on Tommy Lee's face when he brought all those girls up on stage with him? I could practically hear him thinking "If we get that guy in the band, we will have more hot women at our shows that we will know what to do with!"

I was also struck by how he got everybody in the crowd singing along. I turned to my wife at that point and said "THAT is way more important than talent for a band like Supernova."

And yes, the house band is better than Supernova will ever be.

With Tommy Lee's reputation and propensities with the ladies, do you honestly think there is a realistic chance that one of the women will win? (especially Storm - she's way too tempting for Tommy Lee).
