I still can't remember if it was The Electric Flag at the Cafe Wah in the Village or the Doors at The Fillmore East in. It's kinda blurry, ya know. They both happened early in 1968.

If I don't count Beatlemania with my mom the year before (and I don't), then mine would be Rush on the Moving Pictures Tour. Early '81, I guess.

The Allman Brothers Band in 1970. I was 12 years old and they played in a gynasium
near the College my older brother went to.

A few years later......... Black Oak Arkansas: at the end of the show they would
sling their guitars over their heads round and round and slam the guitars together
What a waste of good guitars. I think Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat shared the bill.

Rush
May 20, 1981

Remember getting chills down my spine as the show started. Had wanted to go to rock concerts in the past, but my parents wouldn't allow it. By the time I got to tenth grade I said screw it and went to see Rush for the Moving Pictures tour. In 25 years since I have attended over 450 shows and am still going strong.

Jeez... I'm really not sure. Under supervision, it was probably Greatful Dead @ SPAC. Solo? I think it was Billy Squire and Ratt @ Nassau Coliseum.

I love the 'Cafe Wah?' mention. Loved that place. Dancin' in the aisles.....

Three Dog Night - my folks took me in 5th or 6th grade. My first parent free show was the 1985 to see Iron Maiden(w/ Accept) followed closely by Judas Priest (w/ Great White) then Ratt (w/ Bon Jovi). After that, I was hooked.

In the last three nights I've seen Jeff Beck, Roger Waters and Tom Petty at three different venues here in Phoenix. It been a good week

First one without parental supervision.....Iron Maiden, Nassau Coliseum. People were taking the giant mustard jars they used to have and were smashing them down the aisle. My older brother and his friends left me alone for a few minutes while they went to the bathroom....I was afraid.

First one with parental supervision....Liberace, Radio City Music Hall.

Jeez....I'm getting gayer by the moment!!
